We've been staying in Vienna for nearly three months and luckily our apartment is across the road from this great pizzeria! We've got take out pizza from here almost every week since we arrived (maybe we have a pizza addiction) and have never been disappointed. I'd recommend the Rucola and Spinat as great veggie options. We've never eaten in but... More

Arriving at our hotel late, we were directed to this restaurant by our concierge. It was excellent; a great choice and such good value! So much so that our party of eight went there again two days later and were once again spoilt by good service and excellent food. The quantities are huge too! Eat here if you get the... More

My boyfriend, his sister and her boyfriend had pizza and free tiramisu and all got salmonella poisoning from this restaurant. Their poisoning was confirmed by the hospital. The food itself and service was not bad, but they all ended up in the hospital for a week. To make matters worse our destination wedding was scheduled for the weekend, but it... More

Decided to stop in here for a late meal on our first night in Vienna. Been in Europe for 12 nights now and this was hands down the best meal we've had the entire trip so far. My partner had the Calamari which she claimed to be the most tender and delicious she has ever had. I had the Chicken... More

We went to Dolce Vita because the Italian restaurant across the street was closed. While the pizzas were acceptable (nothing more) and the price OK, we found the service not very friendly and the atmosphere cold. They seemed to pay more attention to the take aways than to the customers in the restaurant.

I've tried the pizza (Al Marino) when in Vienna, and it's very tastefull. Excellent. The delivery is fast, and the price is good. They deliver after 22h, what is a good thing. I didn't visit the restaurant place, but would definitelly recommend it, at least for deliver.

I just happened to be in the neighborhood and was craving for a pizza. So, I ordered the artichoke one and was pleasantly surprised with the size (even though I came hungry, I couldn't finished it). I asked for tobasco, but instead the waiter bring me the "hot sauce", which looked like a home made pepperoni soaked in oil. Delicious!... More

We happened onto this restaurant when walking to the apartment we had rented for our stay in Vienna. We went there because it was close and were presently surprised. Our waiter brought us both a delicious complimentary cherry apertif. My wife ordered lasagna and received a large portion and was pleasantly surprised that is was made with spinach noodles and... Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
