After being in the American Gelato Wastelands for several months, I had to do my first pit stop at Bortolotti in Mary-Helper-Street. To my amazement, it was open in winter, which is not often the case for gelaterias. As usual, the gelato was excellent and...More

So many flavours, sooooo good for the indulgent. Rapid and pleasant service, even when it is not so very hot a great way to enjoy yourself.

It was a sunny but windy day when we visited. The waitresses were very friendly speaking their Italian and German to us. My wife had the Sacher Torte and as I shared some of it. WE BOTH think it was perfetto.

This place has the best bruschetta (bread with tomato and olive oil). This might seem to be not a big deal, but it is. I've eaten bruschetta in many places even in Italy many times during the last 15 years, and it was and still...More

Lots to pick from and it's great to sit on the sidewalk and people watch. Generally a line up but it moves quickly so wait. Great fun and very tasty and the Viennese love gelato and desserts!

First of all, we're not that big on ice-cream. But it was hot and it seemed a great location to sit outside and treat ourselves and people-watch with an oversized ice cream. It's a nice place but the ice cream wasn't that great. I also...More

I like this ice cream parlor. This year visited on 7 April. Took some ice creams, wanted to eat them inside. The waitress (a lady with fair hair) said we couldn't take a seat until we take a coffee. So I did. But coffee was...More

I have been to Bertolotto multiple times and it has been a solid consistent quality. The gelato is smooth and the flavors excellent. Paired with the fact that they have some great traditional Italian desserts (tiramisu, profiteroles, ...), as well as traditional Austrian desserts (strudel),...More

This little gelato place just up behind the Museum Quarter is worth the walk up the hill. Set in a high street of shops, it offers friendly service, late night opening and a menu of spectacular desserts. A "becher" - a wafer cup - of...More
