A real Italian restaurant, all the good taste of Italy ! Pleasant and quick service, good ambience, all this for an affordable price. A place that we recommend ! Be careful, does not accept credit card.

Classic Italian Restaurant. You have the choice between Pizza, pasta, some meat and fish. The food is OK not the best Italian I had but still correct. Prices (20€/person approx.) and service are OK.

Tasty authentic wood fired pizza. Fresh salad and great wine. Good location. Reasonably priced. However, after paying the cover charge and leaving the change as an extra tip... the waiter literally ran after us (out of the restaurant) to inform us that the "tip was not included!" Pretty intimidating after a lovely meal. Won't be back, what a shame.

It was our last night in Vienna and we scrambled a little to find a good spot to conclude our trip. We ordered two kinds of pizza and the veal scallopini and the dishes were excellent. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Strongly recommend this place!

Retraced our steps while roaming about Vienna to find this spot -- it was on a quieter street, across the street from a lovely church. We enjoyed sitting outside and seeing many horse-drawn carriages roll by. We had a bruschetta and a pizza and enjoyed every bite. A light, thin crust pizza was perfect! We topped our selections off with... More

Frankly, the laughing donkey attracted us (for a latish evening meal) to this very proper but relaxed Italian eatery right in the heart of the old city (a few steps only from the former imperial palace, Hofburg)--and we weren't in the least disappointed. Don't expect great revelations, but if you are content with decent home-style cooking (we had tagliatelle ai... More

Stumbled across this restaurant when wandering somewhat aimlessly around the old town with a colleague at the end of a business trip. Realised that I had eaten here last summer with my daughter, so happy to stop by again. Good solid Italian food which we ate at one of the few tables squeezed onto the pavement. Good value and attentive... More

Of all the restaurants available this was a poor choice to make. On a Monday evening it remained pretty empty, the food was average as was the service.Memo to self---check reviews.

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
