Although the welcoming is somewhat formal and the atmosphere sumptuous, we enjoyed a really nice evening thanks to the talented young waiters and of course the very good, creative cuisine of Silvio Nickol. Tables are big and there is plenty of space which ensures privacy is respected. There is no menu as such, there is a 'basic' (so to say... More

We booked a table for 3 people for business dinner and unfortunately we had to cancel - 4 hours before. They charged us 150€/person for cancelling - unbelievable. I booked 3* michelin restaurant all the time, this is the very first time this happens to me. Really not good and really not fair : they will still be able to... More

Very expensive but perfect from all the aspects. You need reservation with months earlier sometimes. The food is poetry. The dessert is amazing. I don't eat fish and even if it was ordered for me fish, the waitress immediately changed my food with pleasure! I orders 5 dishes and at everyone of them, the well-trained waitress told us a story... More

I came here with my partner to celebrate his birthday. We opted for the 9 course surprise meal. The food was beautifully presented but we felt that some courses contained rather strange combinations..... E.g. Chocolate, cheese, grape, duck. You could argue that eating Michelin starred food is about challenging your taste buds but we felt that a couple of courses... More

Here for Saturday dinner and opted for the chef's selection menu with seven courses and paired wines. The meal started with three sets of amuse bouche, all tasty treats and proceeded to showcase fish and meats widely sourced. All were very good and nicely paired with the wines, although we di get our wines somewhat in advance of some of... More

Silvio Nickol surpassed my expectations in every way. The food was superb, the wait staff professional and attentive, and the atmosphere pleasant. I was able to delight in each presentation...not only did they taste wonderful but they were beautiful. It had to have been the "prettiest" food presentation I have ever experience. No detail left out. Although it's not inexpensive,... More

honestly speaking, in all the michelin starred restaurants we've been to, this is by far the worst. out of a 9-course meal, only 2 were actually good, the rest, is just about sophistication, without any good taste, and all courses are extremely delayed, everyone around us was complaining. if you are a wine lover, they probably have the largest wine... The service was small disappointment. First 15 minutes nobody served- you really have only one opportunity to make a first impression and this was missed completely. We ate a surprise menu and it was done with perfection but I got the feeling that it is more of complexity and technics as it is about pure and simple ingredients. We actually... More

This is a restaurant with a perfect combination of elegant atmosphere, friendly staff, impeccable service, delicious and nicely decorated food. Wine selection and pairing was excellent; the best in my experience. I had a great pleasure to say hallo to kitchen chef Mr.Silvio Nickol. This restaurant is not only worth a detour, but also dedicated tour to Vienna to enjoy... More

The restaurant is in the Palais Cobourg hotel and although probably the most expensive hotel in Vienna, I'm not sure that I entirely like the restaurant setting which is ultra modern within a Grade 1 palace. We booked late and were grateful to be given Chef's table. Rather a misnomer as there are two of these tables in a wide... More

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
