Sunset view of the city. Spectacular food. Exemplary service. Spectacular way to end a vacation. Went with a girlfriend but this could have been a romantic dinner spot if our husbands were along. No matter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We only went for drinks. The view at night combined with the ceiling painting/installation is worth the visit alone. The cocktails were expensive but worth it. It was very busy.

I had a set team dinner at Das Loft -- great place to unwind after work with colleagues. The food was good, though a bit meat heavy. Service was fine as well. One comes here for the view first, not necessarily for the food, which wasn't bad however. Recommended. Breakfast buffet is fine as well - not overflowing with choice,... More

Arrived to find lovely view but sun very hot on one side of the restaurant most diners choosing the other side. Was placed on the hot side with sun in my daughters eyes. Moved to a table nearby and the head waiter was summoned and we were told we could not sit there as ' people have to book three... More

Started with a cocktail at the bar. Excellently explained and prepared. A real nice start for the dinner I assumed; however Inwas unfortunately disappointed. Veal tartar: Meat quality excellent even though the seasoning could have been a bit stronger. However, it was drowned in a mayonnaise-like sauce which I scraped off in order to taste the great veal. The BBQ... More

For our last night in the Sofitel Hotel we decided to have a farewell treat - a la carte dinner at The Loft Restaurant on the 18th floor of the hotel. The view is very special but having had breakfast at this venue for the last three days it did not take us by surprise. We arrived at 6.45 pm... More

A short ride up in a dark elevator and you are face to face with the most spectacular view. The restaurant offers notably better views but the bar is central and you can still walk around and gain a panoramic insight. Drinks are pricey but the service is lovely and you are paying for the overall experience. I would definitely... More

Very expensive dishes, almost a joke pay 7 euros for a slice of scallop, in a luxury hotel, full of international guests, the waiter did not know what was a dirty martini, I got a martini glass with some vodka and a piece of lemon skin!!! Which took 30min or more! I had my starter, and my dirty martini came... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. First of all, I would like to apologize for the misunderstanding with the order of your dirty martini. Our waiter did not understand you correctly the first time and ordered the wrong drink at the bar for you. Once this became clear he immediately ordered you a new drink but in that time... More

Uber cool location and customer base. We were probably a little under dressed but still made welcome. Fabulous cocktails, obviously not the cheapest in Vienna, but a great atmosphere.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
