We had just arrived to Vienna and our hotel was right around the corner of this restaurant. The food itself was amazing. I can safely say the best Tai food I ever had. I ordered their vegetable spring rolls and Coconut Chicken Soup as appetizers and as a main dish ordered the Sweet Red Curry Chicken. all were sensational. However,... More

Words cannot describe how delicious the food tastes. Every dish is a delight at Bangkok. The service is excellent and the ambience is cozy and warm. Tip try the lychee Prosecco.

Bangkok Vienna was truly an amazing experience. In Europe we rarely find an authentic Asian restaurant that serves real Asian food. Bangkok Vienna is different, the food tasted real Thai. They also serves some of Thai Beers such as Singha. Really a good one.

I don't normally criticise the service of places but this place was not that busy, staff where really not that interested or happy to be there which put a bit of a downer on the night. But on the food well it's was great, huge serves of masaman yellow curry, sweat and sour pork and pad Thai, plus a big... More

After Bangkok Vienna came up on several websites, including Trip Advisor and Utrip.com, we went for dinner. I've been to Thailand several times so I'm particular about Thai food. I wasn't disappointed! This was some the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. The menu is extensive but not complicated. There are several language translations and the staff speaks... More

Just want to give you a heads up. The menu has a spice level key: one, two, three and four chili peppers. I have been enjoying Thai food for over thirty years and have never had a problem with Thai cuisine. Both my husband and I ordered entrees with a level two of spice. Well, to our surprise, it was... Chicken satay and Thai green curry pretty standard but done amazingly well. I would have drank a pint of sauce. Good food worth a short walk from the centre and reasonably priced. Very helpful and attentive staff.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
