We went the night of the Italy vs Germany Euro's game and this was on TV. I was quite happy with it :) The staff were friendly, understanding and very helpful. They made customers feel easy, and were laughing with the German supporters. It made for an enjoyable enviroment. Addtionally, the food was very tasty and they have a good... More

We really enjoyed ourselves here, both the food and the friendly service. I suggest you book ahead, especially in the summer, because the only reason we got a walk-up table is because we took an outside table when it looked like it was going to storm. If you are are looking for a decent Italian spot near the center of... More

Greeted at the door by the owner with open arms should have been the first indication that we were in for a wonderful meal. The dinner was superb. The fish soup is more fish than soup and the main courses that we enojoyed were delicious. Menu questions were answered directly by the owner and any slight menu changes we asked... More

The service in this restaurant is great, they are very welcoming. The food was great too. the only bad thing was that they took the bottle of wine and kept it in an ice bucket which was great except that kept topping our glasses up when there was still wine in them, so pouring cold wine onto warm.

Great food, very friendly staff. We were in a group of 14. All of the food arrived in a timely fashion. The tuna steak was fantastic.

Ordered the gnocchi with aubergine and smoked cheese but the gnocchi was in a flavorless butter sauce from what I can tell and no aubergine. Perfect texture, but no flavor.

We had a wonderful last dinner at Al Borgo. You must get the whole fish in salt crust and casarecce alla norcina pasta to share.

We were wandering, looking for place for a bite and happened across Al Borgo. No reservations, but they happily squeezed us in. We wish we had been hungrier. We had a late lunch that day and settled for some lighter dishes, which were delicious. Bread, wine, appetizers salads and dessert. The plates being served around us were beautiful and brought... Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
