Spent a lovely weekend in Vienna recently. Ate and drank a couple of times in the wonderful Long Hall… really enjoyed the Lamb Shank , the rib eye steak was most flavoursome and the dressing on their Green Salad was one of the nicest I’ve tasted in quite a while.. The Staff were very efficient and friendly, the outdoor garden was really nice but it’s well worth paying a visit to view the pubs interior which is really lovely… I don’t drink beer but by all accounts from those with me , the Kozel is really good!! Well done to the Long Hall team, keep up the good work.

This pub really does have everything: a friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, including an extensive weekend brunch at very reasonable prices, a wide range of Irish and Austrian beers and ciders and a list of whiskeys that seemed to run into the hundreds. The courtyard is large and shaded and the picture doesn't do justice to the bar. Add showings of soccer matches and, really, what more do you need?

The food was amazing, probably the best meat ever tasted in Wien. The waiter and the waitress were amazing and super funny, we simply had the loveliest evening. The food options are a bit limited, but they have a vegan option and vegetarian one. Beers were incredible!

Pure desaster. I relied on the reviews here for a date evening. Waitress spoke no German. Well, whatever, we're in Vienna... Could even live with that. Waited around 30min for drinks in a restaurant that was hardly half full. They topped it with 1:45h waiting for food, then we just cancelled it, as it was already ridiculous and almost 10pm. Waitress couldn't care less. Never again, ruined us the whole evening. Thankfully, there's a Mcdonald in the area... Even if we would have had service, the menu is not for allergies. Very short, one steak, one burger, one stew, few trend salads and that's it. Very thin. Think twice before visiting, hardly any food options.

We take our service and food preparation very seriously. We are always open to honest constructive criticism and we are shriving to improve all the time. We are sorry you weren’t happy and we would advise customers to bring complaints to management on the night so any issues can be resolved there and then. Hope you will come again. The Long Hall

We came in here for food. I would not recommend at all. I had overcooked fish and cremated different sized fries. My husbands sausage and mash was inedible. When we handed our almost full plates back to the waitress and we mentioned the food was terrible all she said was "Good to know" . That for me sums up the attitude of this place. They dont care.Decor is nice. Beers were fine. Food was awful.

17€ for a medium sized plate of fish & chips without peas and no vinegar available, not even napkins at the table, chips were mushy as well. After asking for vinegar, we were offered Balsamico instead... 6€ for a pint. Don't listen to recent reviews, for they seem to have been written either by staff, or the owner himself. Written within two days of each other, with a total of 1 review, all repeating the same catchphrases "amazing food, great service, attentive staff". One of our orders was forgotten. Two stars for the location.

We have been there a few times as a large group for various occasions and the first time I thought it was just a slip-up evening, as the service was not optimal despite probably (hopefully) best efforts. But on August 24th, when we were there as a group (25 people) to say goodbye to a work colleague (who was a really good regular there for 1.5 years), it was really bad. First of all, we had to wait a very long time for drinks. OK, there were a few people in the garden, but it felt like there were enough staff there. Then we thought that a room (due to the reservation we had made beforehand) was being prepared for us, which turned out to be a mistake after 2.5! hours at 6:30 p.m. Then at some point the food was served, which was served at around 8:30 p.m. (2! hours later) in complete chaos (who's got what game). Some things were wrong (side dishes), others were completely forgotten), a colleague then got his steak at 9:45 p.m.! Salads without any dressing! My medium-rare steak was well done. And the most interesting thing: The restaurant could have easily made double the sales in drinks from us if someone had come by and taken drink orders, and not just from one person, when around 10 people were waving to say they wanted something too, but instead they were sometimes left in the dry for 30 minutes or more. This went on for the whole evening and was really extremely unsatisfactory! The restaurant will definitely not see me again. It is true that the service staff were mostly friendly, but that cannot hide the fact that something is totally wrong with the service/restaurant management. Customer orientation is a must-have in the hospitality industry too, not a nice-to-have!

Stopped in after a long day of traveling. This is a casual dining experience and we decided to sit outside under the tree canopy. Ben waited on us and made great suggestions from the menu. I had the schnitzel while my wife ordered an angus burger. Both were very tasty and filling. Enjoyed the sticky dessert as well. If you are in the area, want just the right amount of service, good food at a great price, then you should stop in and give this place a try!

Pub and bar hopping around the vibrant Josefstadt neighbourhood my twin brother Stephen and I chanced upon The Long Hall Pub and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here ,the interior is superb, multi roomed ,a pool room ,main room dominated by a cool looking serving bar ,brew vats prominently on display ,great decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options, it's just a great pub to chill out in . We ordered our beers ,my brother went for Tiger Brau while I settled for a beer from Zwettler Brewery ,these were served in excellent condition ,we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My beer was really good ,a well established Austrian brewery dating from 1708 , I tried the lager which was served in tip top condition ,light ,hoppy with a small foamy head ,a lager style consistent from the first sip till the last sup ,my brother also gave me a big thumbs up to his beer ,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying quality beers ,hardly surprising this pub is so popular with beers of this quality. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to here we had a great time. The Long Hall Pub is easy to locate along Florianigasse. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday,2pm till 1am. Friday,2pm till 2am. Saturday,10am till 2am. Sunday,10am till 1am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Large pub near the Rathaus. It has lots of tables and booth areas and bar seating. Also the outdoor smoking area is large. There is a large selection of beverages and a good pub menu at reasonable prices. Service was erratic depending upon whether the barman was outside smoking. A great spot for catching up with friends.

They have an extensive drinks menu. We tried couple of items from the good menu…soup of the day was sweet corn and was good, classic fries were very good. Irish beef stew was delicious and very tender beef. The bangers and mash was not good…

Brilliant spot. Brian greeted us when we entered as if we were locals which immediatly made us feel at home. Later we met Nick (one of the managers) who was exceptionally friendly and also Leo (the other manager). We stayed in Vienna for 4 nights and spent 3 of them in the Long Hall having drinks and food. The food is exceptional. Leo and Nick made a point of taking time out to chat with us and fill us in with their lives in Vienna. Leo put up a free drink to us which was a huge surprise and very much welcomed. You have to be a good regular in Ireland to get a free drink and that only happens at Christmas. Looking forward to visiting Vienna (a beautiful city) again and popping into the Long Hall. Must not forget Jade from Drogheda who was also exceptional. Thanks Jade. Great to find a good pub on our travels.

My husband and I ate lunch and dinner here on our visit to Vienna in early December. Our first meal was dinner and we enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for lunch. The owner is a lovely man we enjoyed chatting with. The service was superb as were the meals! The Irish stew made me feel like I was in Ireland! It's very clean and homey. We highly recommended coming here for a meal!

An incredibly chill and spacious place with a great outdoor sitting area. Had an Aperol Spritz and a burger. The drink was really refreshing and the burger & fries were delicious! The service was a bit slow and uncoordinated, but I think that was due to the crowd inside.

Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
