Extremely fresh good quality Italian dishes (just like in Italy), and great atmosphere. This place is family run, and our only complaint was the wine - don't try it, but other than that the food was simply amazing. We had two different pasta dishes and an Antipasto misto and were very surprised (in a good way). This is a great... More

Found this place on trip advisor as it was not too far from our hotel. We had a good pizza in the yard which was great. Would recommend.

We had our first meal here in Vienna. Worth taking the time to find the restaurant. The pizza very tasty and overall very good value with the wine. A small place to sit outside but god on a hot evening. Seems like a family run business.

A charming Italian restaurant that fills up almost immediately after being empty at 630pm. Perhaps the best pizza in Vienna, but don't limit yourself to this even if the name of the restaurant indicates otherwise. Each of the dishes is classic Italian and better than most we've had in Italy. The AperolSpritz, not on the menu, is done to perfection.... More

What startet in the cold and damp garden ended in a warm and cozy niche inside with a wonderful pizza - what a lovely place! Thank you Giovanni!

It's a small place (which means you should make reservations) which mostly serves pizza. The service is very home and charming, the atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. But the most important thing is the Pizza. The dough is crispy but not too much, and the overall taste is really good. We have tried several, including the sea-food (in which... More

Visited this restaurant twice whilst in Vienna. This little gem was close to our hotel & offers a wide range of pizza & pasta. It also offers a daily special menu which includes chicken & other dishes. The pollo alla livornese - chicken in a spicy tomato sauce served with potatoes which was excellent. The panda cotta or profiteroles for... More

Nice indoor area with one of the better AC installations in town. During a heat wave finding someplace cool can be a challenge. It normally opens in the late afternoon (but opens at noon on Saturday). My son and I stopped by at lunchtime on a Friday and ran into the owner. He apologized for being closed and I asked... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
