Excellent place to go! Very warm welcome. Impressive quantity in plates. Impossible not to find something you like: veggie, vegan and traditional food are available, even spicy... So, don't hesitate, and enjoy this beautiful area to have fun and pleasure around a good meal. And, on top of that, you'll find great wines, including a wonderful Austrian Merlot, to discover... We went with my girlfriend, the place was great, the owner was helping in the restaurant and he recommended some plates. Also got as a food-gift. The best of all was the food, I got one of the best plates that I had in vienna.

This is our first night in Vienna. We are staying around the corner in Hotel de France and looked up a restaurant on Trip Adviser. This restaurant came highly recommended with decent prices (by that I mean similar to England) so we walked to it in about 6 minutes. The welcome from the Maitre D' was lovely and the service... Excellent service and the best desserts! I felt amazing after having visited this restaurant, which only uses organic ingredients and does not serve meat. I love this restaurant.

I chose this restaurant for dinner on the first evening of my stay in Vienna and it was an excellent choice. It is a restaurant where the chef is providing for innovative solutions for traditional Austrian dishes, which results in tasty, healthy and delicious food, which I can happily recommend. Mid-range so you will not regret your visit even price-wise.

Excellent and unpretentious restaurant: nice, cozy interior, very friendly and efficient service; the food was extraordinary; lots of creative flavors mixed with the best ingredients (amazing fish); we had a starter, main dish and dessert and everything was extremely convincing; the waiter served an excellent and reasonably priced wine to go with the meal; given the quality, the prices were... Lebenbauer is one of my favourite restaurants in Vienna, right next to the Burgtheater/Rathaus and close to Hofburg/Graben, it is unique by exclusive delicious vegetarian dishes, which are served with homebaked nuts bread and homemade spreads. Fantastic service quality and top choice of finest Austrian wines. Simply the BEST! Reservation strongly recommended.

Classy, vegan and interesting It might be pricy for some, but it is not so much compared to some overrated restaurants i have been to . The staff is very polite, which is very rare for Vienna...

Good location and very friendly and accommodating. Extremely good food and the proprietor & staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was delightfully different to 'traditional' veggie food and was extremely tasty. The bread selection accompanying the meal was delicious. The restaurant is not too expensive either. For any veggies and vegans visiting Vienna, this restaurant should definitely be... More

We were unable to book a table online, but visited the restaurant and were able to book a table for later that evening. The food was really good but the atmosphere made the meal. The host was really professional and friendly, and was able to recommend some good wines for us to try. Would recommend

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
