Have visited this place several times - it is beautifully located right in the hear of the city, but in the wonderful park. You need to make sure you book, arrive in plenty of time, and take your time over selection. The service is often brusque and seemingly unfriendly, but never 'rude'. If you are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, this will... More

Unfortunately this restaurant seems to earn too much money and they do not have the need to be service oriented anymore. table reservation for breakfast only for limited time of 1,5 hours (to make sure that they can sell each table multiple times?) Despite very high prices you have to pay for every extra (second piece of bread for tartar)... More

I was wondering through Stadtpark Wein with my partner when we saw Meierei and thought it would be nice to stop in and grab a coffee. We walked in through the entrance which leads guests through the toilets (?!? EWW) . We were "greeted" by a very snooty waiter. After telling the waiter we were after coffee he rudely told... More

My husband and I popped in here for brunch. We were dressed for a day of sightseeing and it looked a bit upmarket for our attire.. we went in anyway and were asked if we had a reservation. We said no and offered to leave, but they offered us a seat at the bar. I ordered the poppy cake and... More

Service very hit and miss. Felt that seeing the head(?) waiter walking around with a phone to his ear was not great. Slow service too. Food good and the set menu well priced. We chose from the seasonal set menu so one expects that to really showcase the ingredients. The dessert included a fried pear which was hard and tasteless.... More

The Service needs to be trained, if you are not known in the restaurant they tried you like you are nobody, they young boy was complaining about our request to his service colleague so loud that we could understand everything 3 tables away. Just the whole lunch was accompanied by unprofessional service. What's the reason for 3 points they are... More

The restaurant has nice location in Stadt Park and beautiful views. Unfortunately the service is just a disaster! You'll be served by students, some of them are quite unprofessional and rude! My husband ordered two glasses of Riesling. The waiter pures it in the glasses like a beer without offering to try it, though the Riesling was recommended by the... More

No surprises that people are queuing to eat there - the place is ran by the awarded chef already secured its place in the worlds ' best restaurants (and earned 2 Michelin stars for the restaurant next door) Located in the middle of beautiful park, this place is perfect for casual dining. I had a watercress soup - and the... More

We went Sunday morning, on reservation. Rather unfriendly welcome by unprofessional staff (welcomed whilst he was cutting the cheese). Very nice table and excellent choice of fancy breakfast formula's. Formula does not include bread (!) nor butter. We had to order butter which took almost 15 minutes to get, every breadroll consumed was invoiced seperately. When we ordered an additional... More

If you are looking for the best Schnitzel in town - this is the real place! Located just between Hilton Stadtpark ant Interconti, this is a hidden gem. Local cuisine in the park!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
