Our friend Marjory knows Vienna well, so we gave her a brief. We said, ‘we don’t want to walk very far and we’d like to sit down somewhere to eat ice cream.’ Within five minutes we’d arrived at Eissalon am Schwedenplatz and we could hardly...More

Forget the criticisms about drinks snacks and coffee. This place is all about ice creams. You don’t have a menu you get a thick catalogue of deserts. You could spend your entire vacation here and not have everyone. We were there on a Sunday afternoon...More

We went there every day. The place itself is not spectacular but the icecream definitely is. Great selection to go and great menu if you want to sit down. Only better icecream we found in San Giminiano.

Worst icecream ever! I went there because I saw a long queue outside, and thought the "italian icream" they mention was good. Awful. TERRIBLE. I threw it in the bin. Italian icecream is totally another thing, our "gelato" is something you can taste every flavor...More

Large selection of daily special flavours. Great flavour and quality, with generally less sugar than alternative places. The forest strawberry icecream is legend, and worth the extra price. There regular strawberry icecreams (sour cream, yoghurt, regular) are also particularly good. That said, mango or nocciolone...More

The selection of flavours here was amazing, and the gelato was creamy. They have quick service, so even when the line is out the door it's worth waiting the five minutes to get in and try some of the best gelato in Vienna.

Old University Quarter
North of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna suddenly
turns small, winding and medieval, opening up to
legendary places such as the Basilisk sculpture at

a casual stroll through Bäckerstrasse,
