I came here accidentally whilst shopping and decided to have lunch. It's not cheap but nor is it extremely expensive. I asked for a better table in the second room. The risotto was nice as was the wine. Also tried an oyster. Service seemed confused, something isn't right with wait staff, they are either friendly and confused or professional but... More

I was out with close friends one night in Stephansplatz and we decided to have dinner somewhere in the centre. One of my friends, a Vienna native suggested Sky Bar and Restaurant because it's nearby and it's got a nice view of the city. Made a quick call to place reservations and roughly 30 minutes after that, we arrived at... More

The location is situated on top of a department store where you have a beautiful view to St. Stephen's Cathedral. The ambience is fresh and modern. However, the tables inside the restaurant are very packed and we almost felt like sharing one table with the patrons left and right to us. Not the ideal place for a romantic dinner for... More

Sitting in the Skybar you can relax and enjoy food and drink whilst enjoying the sights of Wien from a different perspective. The food is tasty and there is a good range to choose from. The theme is modern and light and provides the traveller to Wien with a great perspective of the broader city.

This is a fine place to spend a long afternoon if you want to enjoy the view and are not hungry or thirsty and want to be left in splendid solitude amidst the hustle-bustle. We sat for about 20 minutes without being waited on, then waited another fifteen minutes or so for our drinks. When we had been sitting for... More

I was joining one of my Cluster Units (Baltics/Balkans/Adriatics) for their xmas Dinner at this restaurant with a group of 20 people, well reserved in advance. The service from the beginning was slow to say the least. We finally managed to have starters after 80 minutes! When the main course arrived the troubles really started. The poor waitress that has... It is wonderful to have a 7th floor view of the city from this restaurant and cafe. Especially to see the the roof of St. Stephan's Cathedral is exciting. It must be nice to sit out in the terrace in the summer. The food is delicious and there is service all day long. However, you must accept to wait for... More

The restaurant design and layout is impressive, however, the view of the city of Vienna from the 7th floor is only on 2 sides and looks directly at roof tops and various architectural structures and is unimpressive, despite visiting on a bright sunny day!

Great for drinks or food too. Lovely food and decent value. Can recommend soups, pasta and wok menu. Very nice staff. The restaurant side was fine for just drinks and much nicer than the bar side which was full of cigarette smoke.

Thank ESMG

WELCOME AT SKY The SKY Bar Restaurant is located on top floor 7 of Vienna's lifestyle department store, Steffl. The dark, modern interior and the glass front offer breath-taking views of the capital's vibrant urban scenery as well as the outskirts of the city with its hills and vineyards. Enter into the Viennese spirit of taking time to enjoy the moment, chillax, savor a coffee or a cocktail on the roof terrace whilst gazing at the city skyline, amongst the penthouse rooftops, the Ferris wheel and the 'Stephansdom' - after which the STEFFL has lovingly taken its name. Feel on top of the world at the SKY Bar and Restaurant.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
