Many Hapsburg monarchs lived here such as Charles VI, his daughter Maria Theresa, Joseph II and Emperor Franz Jopseph 1 and his beautiful wife Sisi. Worst service in the universe and wild prices! Walk 100 m and there are wonderful cafes and restaurants!

What a wonderful place the cakes are to die for. This is also quieter than some cafe so no need to queue. The staff are very friendly and the location is wonderful.

There is no better place than here to get rest while visiting the Hofburg palace. I always stop by every time I go to Vienna. Tried my first kaiserschmarrn here and loved it!

Good food, friendly service, not too badly priced for a central tourist location. Would come again. We had salmon and potatoes which was good.

Such a beautiful, relaxing place, great atmosphere and fantastic service. We were there approx. 2 hours after breakfast, so we only had some strudel with coffee/green tea and a glass of Prosecco:)

We came for a coffee and cake in the afternoon. This coffee shop is very busy and what i didnt like much is that the tables are very close to each other, so the waitresses all the time run around your chair and bit pushes...you, which doesnt add to a nice calm atmosphere. However, chai latte was very good as well as Sacher cake, just to my taste pretty sweet. My partner got a truffle cake and he didnt much like it, he preferred the one from Aida. Quite pricy as its in popular location.More

Stopped here for the coffee before the Spanish Riding School show. Wiener Melange was excellent like expected but service was a bit distant and reserved which is understandable in the middle of tourist groups. We were expecting this kind of experience so can't say we...were disappointed but I hope the service is better with other times.More

We ordered a dish with soup, a dish that is a variety with strudel and for desert a Kaiserschmarren. all of them were very tasty and came on a timely manner, and nicely decorated. This with the water cost us around 45 euros, which was...actually expensive considering the fact that we needed something more to eat. I would suggest this place for coffee or cake mostly were as the Kaiserschmarren was exquisite and the other deserts seemed very appealing as well.More
