While in Vienna on business recently, a work colleague craved a pizza so we ended up here. The pizza was good, the beer cold and the service friendly and efficient. The restaurant hits the spot on all counts.

Returning to Vienna without visiting Verdi would be unfathomable. Still the best pizza in Vienna. Lovely, warm atmosphere-great solo or with a group. The owners are wonderful people and always make you feel at home. Great weekly pizza and lasagna specials too. They also do takeaway pizza if you're staying in the area. Cheap pizza, not really very good. Tasteless, no real passion or attempt to produce a decent pizza. Sad, but true

A nice neighborhood place that serves traditional hand-made pizzas at an excellent price. Traditional ambience with theatre posters on the walls and quiet conversation among the diners.

Terrible pizza. Mixed salad was so so. The only bright spot was our waiter, an architect student who was very nice. I can't believe that other reviewers would give this pizza a good review. Seriously? It was awful.

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighborhood Profile
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
