Well, not only the Schnitzel but also a veal gulash :) It was a great experience, the Schnitzel was really good, the staff was friendly but...don't forget to book!!! We waited around 1 hour … it worth it but …

The Schnitzel was lovely, and obviously large. It doesn't come with any sides but you can order a variety of things. We got fries and the tartar sauce which tasted fantastic with a hint of tarragon as in Bearnaise sauce. We also ordered the veal...gulasch which was exquisite as well. When we came, at around 2pm, there was a queue of about 10 people but we got in quite fast and it was well worth the wait. Staff was very nice as well, highly recommend!More

Fantastic food served in huge portions. Staff is nicer than in the other venue in the next street. It’s also very big so there are always seats available most likely.

Enormous portions and felt overwhelmed by the size of this dish. Delicious food but could not eat it all. Rude, arrogant staff and slow service meant that we just wanted to pay up and leave. Really disappointed by our experience.

Glad we had a reservation as the restaurant was full with people waiting outside in the rain and cold. We ordered the pumpkin soup to start on a cold evening and it was quite tasty, no hints of sweetness at all. But the highlight was...the Wiener schnitzel! 4 of us ordered it and we all loved it. The kids had the Figlmueller schnitzel which is pork. The pork is what you see in the picture…one piece that covers the entire plate. The veal schnitzel is actually two pieces. The veal was much better. It costs about 5€ more per entree. Didn’t care for the potato salad as the onion was far to pronounced. Nice wine list, mostly Austrian. Definitely recommend for Viennese cuisine!More

Excellent. Despite the tourists at this place he service and food are top notch. You don’t just get a great meal here but you feel welcome and like a regular customer.

Large, thin and tasty pork schnitzel but expensive when some vegetables are added. Didn't feel that service was responsive, and not treated especially warmly when I went to the wrong one nearby, in the same street.

Amazing place! The food was delicious. We had a gulash and a schnitzel to split, and we were so happy. We had no reservations so we had to wait for about 15 minutes but was totally worth. Prices aren't high after all and the location...is central.More

I came for the veal schnitzel which was available in the past based on some reviews. After having a seat I asked the waiter and he told me they don’t have it in the menu anymore so I apologized. The waiter became very angry and...took the menu away, really bad behavior.More

The traditional Schnitzel was a nice experience and I loved the mix of salads as a side dish. I also recommend the pumpkin soup. The service was good as well.

Landed here for an early dinner because we really wanted to try the famous pork schnitzel and some offal dishes. From the beginning we had the feeling that everything was optimized to treat tourists like wallets on a conveyor belt (get in-eat-pay-get out) for a...maximised table turnover. Probably that's why this was the only place in Vienna where we weren't asked for any vaccination proof. Be aware that it gets quite crowded at times with queues outside and you might have better chances with a reservation. While here, we were seated right next to the entrance and witnessed a lot of customers rerouted to their other location on Wollzeile (with a slimmer menu), even though there were plenty of seats available. Load balancing I guess. The food was good, nonetheless. Started with some sweetbreads which were just ok (maybe with a bit too much breading), but then the pork schnitzel, salads and veal liver were excellent. The schnitzel was quite memorable, both in terms of size and taste. They don't serve beer (most likely because they are pushing their own wines, of which you already find a bottle on the table) and neither desserts - or at least I didn't spot them on the menu (probably so you don't linger too much after the meal). Service was ok, quick and a bit impersonal, nothing wrong with that. Useful articles with info about schnitzels you can read on the walls while waiting for the food. All being said, even if the food was good, the overall experience left us with a bitter taste when you feel treated like a commodity. Oh, and if you want to go to the bathroom be prepared to announce everyone in the restaurant and some more walkers by, since you have to get a key with a huge cowbell attached and then exit the restaurant for the bathrooms which are located on the side. Recommended maybe for the schnitzel and calf liver if you're into it, but just a quick in-and-out, with no higher expectations. I would probably not visit again, there are plenty of restaurants in Vienna where you can find a good schnitzel and you're treated better.More

Rejected as no FFP2 but chirurgical mask, knowing we have full Covid-19 vaccination coverage up to date and people in restaurant are wearing mask while getting in and out of their table. We had to cancel our lunch reservation and we went to their other...restaurant located at Wollzeile 5 who accepted us with our chirurgical mask and without reservation. 🧐More

Always a charm, always a classic. You can expect long lines if you have not reserved (the original place is only with reservation, rhe new one, takes walk ins). Once inside, the staff is very welcoming and professional. The food is vey good, not top...notch but it never disappoints. It is our third time here an always take the schnitzel which is excellent although the original is made of veal, not pork (you can always order the veal which is more expensive). Try the rosé house wine, very good.More
