Okay, you'll find plenty of snooty reviews for fancy restaurants. We like good pub grub and aren't afraid to admit it. Crossfield's isn't fancy (but it's in a pretty fancy neighborhood just down the street from the great Albertina gallery). The waitstaff always seems to have a smile. You can eat outside and watch the human parade and they serve... More

We felt back home! Just around the corner from Opera house, Hotel Sacher we found this australian pub. We were living for 5 years in OZ and immediately when entered the pub we had the feeling we are back. For people that don't like too much smoke, the pub has seats outside as well. SOmething thats different in many Ozzie... More

Would not recommend this pub, the staff were Rude, swearing and smashing glasses the entire time we were there. No Australian sport on, which is what we went for! No Australian drinks fosters, which is the "Australian beer" they recommend!! Poor selection of Australian drinks and food!!

The australian pub is a cool location with tasty food for average prices (14-16€ for burgers). The beer is also great. Definitely potential for a fun night!

My burger (expensive like all food in Vienna) was cold and raw on the inside. The bar staff talked to each other and ignored the customers. Everybody was smoking and there were dogs in there.

We sat outside for a quick late meal. The staff were very friendly and seated us quickly despite closing time being fast approaching. My spouse had a burger which was terrible, I had the Caesar shrimp salad which was also bad. The shrimp seemed to have come fresh out of the freezer. Highly commercial food. Wouldn't go there again.

Loved the ambiance of the pub. The decoration is so cool. The X-field beer is really good and the people are really nice. Would definitely go back and recommend it a 100%

Vienna is different!

With an Australian culinary outpost located in the heart of the city. Go down into the world of down under - we serve exotic titbits such as tender ostrich and kangaroo steaks or fried grasshoppers in the middle of an Australian opal mine. Here you can also have the juiciest burgers and beefsteaks. Along with the meals, we also serve a superior selection of Australian wines and great Aussie beers including Fosters, Ayers Rock Red, VB, James Boags, Coopers to name but a few.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
