Great service and setting, food okay

A very nice little spot! Service was nice, he did his best to translate the menu to English. The food in my opinion was just okay, nothing too exciting. A bit bland. It was given to us almost immediately after we ordered which I wouldn't be in too.

Let's start with the positive: - fantastic location in a quite garden right next to the shopping street. Very quiet and peaceful and surrounded by flowers - the crepes with nutella, still warm out of the pan, were delicious And that is pretty much it, the rest was extremely disappointing: - food: the brunch food was weird and tasteless to... We visited Mill during a business trip during July 2015. We were a party of 4 non of us spoke German. Luckily we got accommodated at a larger table. But we had to share that table with other people. And those people were smoking while we ate...... They haven't had any English menu but a translation service was offered. After... More

We absolutely loved this place. It is a beautiful garden, half outside, half under cover. Very buzzy and nice to eat amongst locals rather than tourists. The waiters were fantastic; they were very patient explaining the menu (its not in English as local) and were attentive at all times. The beer was great and the food delicious.

I had the chicken salad and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and the grounds are absolutely stunning. Also reasonably priced. Thank you!

The food, if vegetarian or with meat, is really fine and there are many options (Austrian, Italian, Asian,..).

A local friend wanted to show us good food and a local hide out, away from the city craziness and tourists. The Mill is an excellent place to chat the night away and get some original and good food! Because a lot of locals eat here regulary it's saver to book your table ahead.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
