We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were glad we did. Staff were nice and attentive, the location was nice with outdoor seating on a small side street without traffic in a very central location. We were given a small appetizer (a smooth vegetable dip and a piece of meat) and bread before... More

I went here to avoid the long line at Figlmüller's as it is in the same area. I was not dissapointed. The beer and schnitel were both delicious.

We came across this restaurant while exploring and decided to come back for dinner in the evening as the menu looked really good. We weren't disappointed, the starters were fantastic and both of our choices of main course were lovely. Probably the only letdown was the dessert, I didn't have room but my husband ordered the poached plums and pancakes... More

Mid-week dinner here for six people and we sat outside . Wonderful local food with great service and an extensive wine list . Possibly the best Schnitzel we had all trip . Great evening with family . Recommended.

This restaurant is not far away from the back of the Stephansdom, but off the beaten tourist track in a little side street. Very good food and not expensive, especially for lunch if you choose the blackboard menu. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. Lovely outdoor setting.

This is a nice restaurant off the main track. The food was tasty with a local flavor. A fine place to get a top notch meal away from the tourist crowds. Service is good and prices are very reasonable. If you sit outside, which is nice, know that there will be people smoking around you. There is non-smoking inside. A... More

The restaurant offered us a devious amuse: Austrian bacon. The wiener schnitzel was superb, this restaurant has very good wines. nice quiet atmosphere, and nice staff. We had a very nice evening.

Nice menu, Really good food. Dessert of chestnut rice and sour cherries puts those dry tasteless sachertortes to shame. Nice wine selection. Serious and seriously busy waiter lightens up if you can make him smile.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
