After three visits, this is still one of my darlings in Vienna. The dining rooms are beautifully decorated, ambience and service is top class. My seven course menu this evening brought me an original, sour and lovely plate of spaghetti pumpkin, wonderful tuna tartare, a...More

We heard about the restaurant from our private tour guide. We wanted a fine dining experience after the Opera. We arrived at 2100 and did not leave until 2400. The service was impeccable. The food varied from course to course but was all first class....More

The menu is confusing. The first page seems to be made up of the usual starter, main, sweet - but isn't. The first three items are two starters and a main to which truffles can be added, so there are two prices, one for the...More

Le Ciel is a very nice restaurant. Glamour decor, excellent service. The food is pretty good but I would not call it outstanding. The portions are minuscule- more like a "tasting menu".

I was part of a Business Group having dinner at le Ciel recently. Mine veered slightly off the set menu to accommodate a gluten issue. Food was very well prepared, with robust flavors, perfectly seasoned, and the best gluten free breads I have found anywhere....More

We chose this restaurant as our main "splurge" for Vienna based upon its ratings and photos of the ambiance. The decor and service were clearly the highlights along with very nice live piano music. The food was very good but with very small portions, more...More
