My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner at Danieli - good food, good wine and prosecco, fast and friendly service. Prices are a tad on the high side, but I found it value for money. I had a pizza ("Marchese") and tartufo for dessert and both were tasty. I would not have minded the pizza a tad thinner and... More

Went here as a family and the service and food were excellent. Authentic Italian atmosphere, attentive service and varied menu. We had pizza and pasta dishes which we all enjoyed and the merlot was excellent, the best wine in the four days we have been in Vienna. The desserts were large and very tasty. Well worth a visit.

This really is a wonderful place, not too pricey, excellent quality. We popped in for a quick lunch. The pasta was stunning, this is the sort of place to eat something simple and be blown away by the depth of the flavours. Good wine list too and not too expensive AND fabulous deserts.

Some friends of ours invited us to Danieli to celebrate the wife's birthday. Being an excellent cook and of Sicilian heritage, my husband was highly doubtful of our friends' claim that this was the best italian restaurant in Vienna. As soon as we walked into the restaurant though, we were impressed - the theme is upscale yet cozy, the staff... More

Just order the Tagliata di Manzo. Thank me later. Everything you'll ever eat in your life after this will be a huge disappointment. Consider yourself warned. I do not remember such a perfect harmonization of elements in an entree in forever, and I've been to my share of Michelin star restaurants. I wish I could move to Vienna just to... More

We came to Danieli as our kids, being experts in pizzas, demanded that our first dinner in Vienna must have Italian touch, which comes here with everything: friendly staff, authentic Italian decor, open fire oven, food and wines.I can really recommend vitello tonnato under fantastic dressing and osabuko style beef in tomatoes - bravo chef- and fettuchini on the side.... Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
