Food was great and service was good.. However we went with an 11 month old who dropped too much food on the floor for the liking of the manager who complained. So we said no worries and we cleaned it up with the kitchen towel...More

I’m not sure a review is a good idea - I wouldn’t want Ubl to be packed out with hordes of tourists! We visited after the Third Man Museum which is directly opposite, killing two excellent birds with one stone. To my mind, this is...More

As other reviewers note this is not a restaurant geared to the tourist trade. There were a lot of regulars. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming and informative. They spent the time helping to ensure we understood the menu and the food was delicious....More

This is a beautiful older restaurant with many nice touches-- brown glazed tile bar, cooper sinks, wooden chairs. The food is good but not excellent -- that is, the Schnitzel was a bit heavy and the potato salad greasy. Service was also rushed. Still worth...More

Went there our first full night in Vienna, and it was outstanding. They staff spoke little English but would attend to us no end. The menu was in German but they explained everything and the food was fantastic. Well worth the visit.

After 2 horrible dinners in Vienna, finally we find this Gasthaus. The place is simple and essential, without much furniture, but it has the charm of the old. The food was fantastic, and we can say the same for the service. the owner (I think...More

largest street market. Many bohemian types have found
