My husband and I had the most amazing date night in this extraordinarily elegant restaurant. The decor in the lounge and dining rooms of rich reds and greens with panelled walls whisks you back in time to a golden age. The food was delectable. The courses were beautifully presented and the staff particularly Max, Michelle, Christina and Richard were fabulous.... More

We were tired and went to the hotel restaurant... lovely surprise! Very flexible menu: Fixed course or ala carte. Delicious and beautifully presented. I had a cauliflowers soup and my husband had (my title) variations of avocado. Light and tasty, and then we both had the short ribs. Service was attentive and not overbearing at all. Lovely evening!

We had a welcome reception that was perfectly organized and led by as well the organizers as the hotel/restaurant itself. Very good "canapés", in 3 stages: cold starters; warm to follow and desserts (the later in self service, including the world-famous Sacher-torte. Good wines from Austria. Quite well served. The best remained the ambiance of the traditional-styles old place with... More

Entering the dark green and luxurious wood-paneled room was a taste of what was to come. It’s very peaceful in this atmosphere where the guests’ conversations were hushed as they lingered at their tables. It was easy to imagine Anna Sacher entering the room, smoking her preferred cigar, pausing at every table and ordering drinks on the house, as she... More

We had Xmas Eve (2016) dinner there, set price 175 Euros per person. At this price we had high expectations of the 4 course meal, which weren't met. The published menu was served up with a good number of course choices, although the theme had nothing "Xmas" about it, this was strictly a "nouveau cuisine" experience. But the food volume... More

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday at Restaurant Anna Sacher with our two daughters and their husbands, plus our one-year-old grandson. The service was absolutely impeccable and the food out of this world. Despite the elegant surroundings, we were made to feel relaxed and at ease and treated with the perfect balance of attention and time to enjoy the meal... More

We had dinner returning form the opera. The time around 10 pm did not create a problem, we were still able to order the normal 4 course menu. It is noticeable that the cuisine is ambitious, the first two courses were absolutely delicious but the main course and dessert were good but not as good as the starters, on the... More

We went to the Anna Sacher for a special occasion and enjoyed a great night of food matched by impeccable service, which was attentive and informative without being annoying. It was also very friendly and with a smile, which is not always the case in Vienna. The menu was innovative, and food selections and dishes were superb. The restaurant ambience... More

Description
Head chef Dominik Stolzer presents his creative and innovative dishes: "We wanted to transfer Sacher's philosophy of combining tradition and modern spirit to our cuisine as well. By tradition I mean using ingredients such as regional freshwater fish for example, and by modern spirit I think of exotic ingredients which are not so easy to get."

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
