Just had wonderful meal for four in central Vienna at Yohm. It is expensive but well worth it for the subtlety and variety of the tastes and flavourings. First course of crab sushimi with ginger. Was legendary. Sea Bass likewise. Helpful and friendly staff. Also excellent wine list. Such a delightful change from yet another schnitzel or dumplings

I have been a customer of this place for 11 years now, visiting every once in a while just to make sure that I do not forget how the contemporary asian cuisine can be turned into art. The tastes that you feel during the meal are persistent even after you are done eating. For a while. The perfect sashimi can... More

Since Yohm is close to my office, I have only ever had lunch there. I definitely prefer to eat there in the summer months when the garden area is open as a) I don't find the interior design very special and b) you are always met with a deep-fried smell when you enter the restaurant and tables are rather close... Overpriced Asian food (€30 per person is bad value for money with the low quality they are offering and when you are charged €7 for a bottle of water). Lights kept coming and leaving all lunch.

After a week in Austria we were a little tired of traditional Austrian fare, not to mention that I am vegetarian and it was not easy to find good vegetarian choices at a reasonable price. We tried Yohm and enjoyed our food. This restaurant is not high end but it was nice and the service was good. I was able... More

This place is a decent dining establishment featuring Asian styled cooking. The problem with this place is that it has great ideas but the execution is not good enough. I ordered sushi, a beef dish and a thai curry. The ingredients are very good. The fish for the sushi is very fresh and they use very good eye fillet for... More

In the heart of Vienna this was a good find. Nice atmosphere, great service, and great food. Being a bit of a foodie, I can highly recommend.

It's not a place I would seek to go if I'm looking for the most delicious Asian food, but it is not bad either. I ordered soup and main entree here and the two were both a 6/10 for me. The staff were friendly and the setting was nice. However, it is incredibly over-priced for my opinion. Then again, you're... More

Getting to the crux of the matter: Awful dinner. Although the wonderful location, in the heart of Vienna’s historic center, next to St. Peter’s Church, the dinner left a shocking aftertaste. Not only had the white wine the temperature of green tea, the Tom Yam Goong soup was a portrayal of ‘ingredient crisis’: a cup with diluted chili paste in... More

Visiting this restaurant for more than 10 years (perhaps 15), now and I havn´t left it not a single time (not once!) without being satisfied. More often than not, however, I left it overwhelmed by the taste and quality of the dishes served. The surest bet for asian food in Vienna! Prices: not a bargain, but you will probably not... More

In YOHM Restaurant, my team presents to you a new kind of Asian cuisine, which I was able to experience for the first time in cities like London, New York or Hong Kong. We have not emphasized any specific part of Asia, but rather selected interesting food and drinks from the diverse regions of this continent, so fascinating in terms of culinary cuisine. Andreas Fuchs and his team prepare dishes for you which make direct reference to original dishes from Asia. However, these traditional dishes are cooked according to the most modern viewpoints from the best ingredients - full of flavor, healthy, low-fat and rich in vitamins. Intrinsic flavor, clarity of spices and freshness of the products must always be the priority. This foundation, paired with attentive, Western service, excellent wines as well as a selection of top-quality teas and sakes are meant to bring you closer to this complex culture on your culinary journey to Asia. In the summer months, we offer our guests the finest in culinary art in the open air of our sidewalk café on Petersplatz. I hope you enjoy your journey just as we enjoy indulging you. Yours, Klaus Piber

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
