Visited this restaurant yesterday. The restaurant was packed outside but inside there were only us and another table, I.e. you can't really say it was fully booked. Nonetheless it took the food 1 hour to arrive! There were no apologies or updates on our food from neither of the 2 waiters until we asked them 40 minutes after our order.... More

Chose this restaurant as it came up in the top 10 restaurants for Wiener Schnitzel in Vienna, and we weren't disappointed. Service was good, wines reasonable price and food good. Easy to get to on Number 13 bus from main railway station.

The place is very cozy and the waitress was so nice and hospitable , she explained the menu to us and was always smiling which Is kinda rare in Vienna unfortunately. Food is good so as drinks. The music is awesome and not loud . If you would like a calm place with soft music and authentic Viennese dishes than... More

Small restaurant with very good food. It took a little long until the first dishes were on the table, but after that everything was perfect.

Finkh was a short walk from the apartment we stayed at while in Vienna. It reminded me a lot of the small gastropubs popping up all over LA. Servers are very friendly and speak English well enough to explain menu items. Schnitzel was absolutely amazing!

Wonderful, tiny little restaurant. Great food--best weiner schnitzel of the many we tried. Great selection of Austrian wines. Cozy and intimate atmosphere. Very local and non-touristy. Highly, highly recommend--because of the small size, reservations also highly recommended, though we did walk in.

I have chosen this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and also it has really good rating here. I was surprised by the raw industrial look inside, if i was just walking around i would never go inside i think, but lucky me i have checked the reviews. The place had its own great atmosphere, special bio lemonades... More

This small restaurant has a somewhat limited menu but I have never been disappointed in anything I have eaten here. The goulash was extraordinary My companions consider this their local joint but even they need to call ahead for reservations. The owners and staff are wonderful and you will feel at home the minute you walk in.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
