The idea of a restaurant underneath the former metro arches is already great. The restaurant is well organized and in summer one can appreciate the very quiet garden. Local dishes with a large choice and abundant serving. Helpful staff.

I simply love this place. Built in an old train station section, and extending between stone arches. It is a simple walk from Spittelau metro station crossing the pedestrian bridge. Spacious, nicely set, nice beers, and most importantly lovely food. Try the ribs, Schnitzel, or mixed meat skewer and you will never go wrong! Bon appetit!

Great food, bad service. How can drafting a beer take 20 minutes??? Waiter friendly, but way too slow. Prices still ok. Please improve your Service!

Went here after a day at a local university with a relatively big crowd of students and professors. The place has both a smoking and a non-smoking are which is important to know for those who don't smoke. There was a lot of room and a great atmosphere for talking. The food was standard fare, nothing fancy, and it went... More

The location is unique. Between arcs and inside of them. The view to the opposite arcs with metroline 6 is my favorite. Huge porsions of food and fantastic ribs, schnizel, wurst... and of cource beer Free places all seasons of year. Dinner and lunch could be there. Tramstop of tram D is good for sightseeing passing half Vienna to Belvedere... More

I go there each time I'm in Vienna. The place is always full at dinner time, most of them are locals. Portions are really big. Spare ribs are good, they come with potatoes, sauce and salad on the side. One portion is enough for 2 or 3 pers.

Staying in Dobling

Neighborhood Profile
Dobling
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
