Although this restaurant is quite small, I was there with a rather large group. The starters came at the same time, the main courses unfortunately didn't, since the kitchen also isn't too big. I guess it is better to go there with a small group :) The food though was AMAZING. I had lamb chops, and the quality and taste... More

We made a reservation for two about an hour beforehand on a Saturday evening. There was only one other table that night, which is a pity for a restaurant that serves delicious French food. (I'd guess there's about 10 tables available in this open-kitchen restaurant). I hope that this was an exceptionally calm night, because the restaurant deserves success: it... More

The place was close to our hotel and the night market so ideally located for a night out without taxi. The menu was quite short but seasonal and only using fresh products. The owner advised us well both for food and (organic) wines which we could taste before making a selection. If you are in the neighborhood or feel like... More

I am a creature of habit, and so every Saturday date night we're heading to one of our regular restaurants in Vienna. Yes, I like to eat well. And then...the entire restaurants pool we have were completely book due to a conference that was taking place in the city, and this was what pushed us to Cote Sud. Looking at... More

What a beautiful surprise we walked into on our last night in Vienna. We had read about this French style restaurant but it surpassed all our expectations. It is small, with tables close together and has a very intimate feel. Isabelle was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful. The food itself was a joy. We shared the 'Flammkuchen' first... More

This is a fancy restaurant for a fast French lunch. Try the poulet. Excellent taste, creatively served.

We just passed by looking for a place to dine and it looked nice, so we tried. We only had starters and a bruschetta (+an additional starter the waiter offered to everyone). The food was both very delicious and very aesthetically served - French style. The service was very friendly too - another rare thing in Vienna. I would definitely... More

This was a neighborhood recommendation from our delightful pension Saint Shermin, just south of the ring road. We ate outside on a quiet street of lovely old apartment buildings. It's a small place - nouveau bistro style - a single waitress (the chef's partner?). We started with an arctic char crudo and a goat cheese salad with asparagus and rhubarb,... More

It was difficult for me to decide whether to rate it 3 or 4 stars. Most of the reviews are glorifying the restaurant and its food, but in my opinion it was not that amazing. We have tried it only once, so far. The wine selection lacking french wines, and most of the selection was Austrian. That was the first... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
