As vegan, is not always easy to find places to eat. One evening me and my boyfriend decided to try out this place - which was on our Innsbruck guide. The restaurant is small, simple and cozy. We had the 7 courses menu, all the dishes were made simply using vegetables served in tiny portions. Overall the food was good,... More

The vegetarian and rather boutique restaurant Chez Nico is place to get a real taste of vegetarian food. I liked the atmosphere and tastes, simplicity and choice as well as piece-fullness.

We had a quick lunch in this nice restaurant. Food extremely good, place extremely cozy but portions extremely poor! We were still famished in the end.

... Farwell because end of October 2016 the Chez Nico changes his concept... And goes from a gourmet high class vegetarian restaurant to a burger and fallafel place... I couldnt be more unhappy... Chez Nico was the first ever vegetarian restaurant which made me forget Fish and meat... The dishes have been creative, freshand outstanding... 😰😰😰😰

Lovely subtle Chinese-inspired starter, then a main of grilled vegetables, then a small dessert. Amazingly tiny portions, so I was really hungry when we left and had to eat again mid-afternoon. Also, the decor isn't really minimalist, it's just absent; I really like looking at my wife which is just as well, as the blank white wall behind her was... More

The seven-course tasting menu was a meal of great beauty and imagination: the flavours and textures were wonderful, and the dishes were all composed with great care and attention to visual detail. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere very welcoming. We had one vegan meal and one vegetarian meal, and both were great from start to finish.

Lunchtime options are parts of the set 3 course meal (you can order whatever courses you would like) or vegetarian and vegan burgers and potato wedges (fries), ordered separately. The burgers all had the same fried patties just different sauces. They were served on a very fresh bun. The avocado burgers and cheese burgers were good but not great.

I'm in Innsbruck for work and was looking for a nicer dinner given that I've been working super long hours and wanted to treat myself. I've also been seemingly surrounded by meat and potatoes, so I was super intrigued by a vegetarian tasting menu. I decided to try Chez Nico after reading several reviews and the fact that they had... The food was good, just not great. Out of the courses we had, only 2 or 3 were memorable, or just plain good..the dessert, and a soup. Most of the courses were plain vegetables. With a vegan and a vegetarian in our family, we have sampled many vegetarian and vegan foods, with exciting flavors, dishes, and substitutes, like cashew for... More

Unusual combinations and interesting techniques give ordinary vegetables a new life. All 7 courses were exciting and unlike any vegetarian food I have had before, even in fine dining restaurants. The first course of leek and kiwi sounds peculiar, but it was not weird for the sake of it. It really works. The menu continued to surprise and delight. The... More
