Lunchtime options are parts of the set 3 course meal (you can order whatever courses you would like) or vegetarian and vegan burgers and potato wedges (fries), ordered separately. The burgers all had the same fried patties just different sauces. They were served on a very fresh bun. The avocado burgers and cheese burgers were good but not great.

I'm in Innsbruck for work and was looking for a nicer dinner given that I've been working super long hours and wanted to treat myself. I've also been seemingly surrounded by meat and potatoes, so I was super intrigued by a vegetarian tasting menu. I decided to try Chez Nico after reading several reviews and the fact that they had... The food was good, just not great. Out of the courses we had, only 2 or 3 were memorable, or just plain good..the dessert, and a soup. Most of the courses were plain vegetables. With a vegan and a vegetarian in our family, we have sampled many vegetarian and vegan foods, with exciting flavors, dishes, and substitutes, like cashew for... More

Unusual combinations and interesting techniques give ordinary vegetables a new life. All 7 courses were exciting and unlike any vegetarian food I have had before, even in fine dining restaurants. The first course of leek and kiwi sounds peculiar, but it was not weird for the sake of it. It really works. The menu continued to surprise and delight. The... More

We had a fantastic time over dinner in this tiny restaurant enjoying the seven course gastronomic menu . All the dishes are vegetarian and in general made of vegetables rather than pulses, so it is not hard to eat seven small but perfectly formed courses . There was only one other couple in the restaurant so we were assured of... More

I love this place. We went there the first time many years ago when it wasn't vegetarian at all. So I was able to witness the transformation into one of Europe's best vegetarian restaurants in just a few years. I really like their easy going approach paired with a curiosity and professionalism. The results are sometimes stunning. Try the tasting... More

7 courses, serviced with specially selected wines, include a white wine, made from red grapes. Each dish was brought out with a detailed introduction and each surprised us with its creativity. Kiwi fruits with Leaks, Olive Gnocchi to name a couple. At the end of the evening, the Chef introduced himself and asked how our evening went which was a... More

Our trip to Innsbruck was lovely enough, and then we discovered Chez Nico and I almost don't want to write a review because I want to keep this beauty all for myself. It is hard to describe the experience of this genius' creations as there is only this memory of beetroot and blackberries presented and tasting like nothing before and... More

I booked this place because my boyfriend has recently become vegetarian and did not realize at the time the awards and acclaim Chez Nico has received. It's well-deserved acclaim. Chez Nico is small and does only one seating a night, so you have to reserve a table. I saw many a sad soul turned away. There was one chef and... More

So first opinions on the restaurant, small, quite bright and definitely not your typical fine dining restaurant. Especially since you have just 1 waitress and 1 chef for the whole restaurant. I assume in the summer when they can seat outside then staff would be increased. The waitress was really friendly, knowledgeable about every dish and had to repeat many... More
