Good traditional Austrian food. The goulash and braised beef were delicious. I made a reservation earlier in the day for a 19.30 meal. I would recommend doing the same as this restaurant was very busy.

We enjoyed this well run and lively restaurant enormously. My wife had the Wiener Schnitzel and I the Faschierte Kalbsfleish, Delicious. Good humoured and efficient service. A real fun place to relish a good Austrian meal!

Definitely a locals spot, near the square with Mozart's statue, this Austrian pub serves the typical fare - ghoulish, schnitzel, sausages etc. The wait staff works in lederhosen and the decor is casual so don't wear your Sunday best. Thankfully, we had a reservation as...More

We tried to get into Zwettlers for lunch one day but they were busy and we were turned away. It was the only place in Salzburg that we were treated rudely and we never got to try the food which was very disappointing

Plain delicious local Austrian food. From Goulash, to potato soup to schnitzel and potato with egg, everything was great. Very friendly staff, highly recommended.

Definitely one of the better and more reasonably priced restaurants in Salzburg ! Food was great (I had the pork schnitzel and husband had the goulash, and we shared the apple strudel). We shared a table with this nice young couple which was totally fine...More

We ordered the schnitzel, goulash, spinach dumplings and a pork dish. All were cooked very well! Service was quite friendly although they did take quite some time to take our order and provide the bill towards the end.

Very busy Austrian pub-style restaurant. Very friendly host and servers with lots of German-speaking guests (felt more like locals than tourists). Starters and meals were regional selections and outstanding- perfectly prepared with unique touches and full of flavor. They also had a stall at the...More

It’s a good trational restaurant that you can find Austrian cuisene. You have to make reservation to get a table before you come in. Potato soup and chicken wien schnitzel are both perfect. For dessert, you should try the Nockerl that is served traditionally in...More

Great food, difficult to choose just the one from the menu as they all sounded amazing. Atmosphere great and booking recommended. We did get seated quickly but were asked if we didn’t mind sharing at a larger table.

I’d say there are around 15-20 tables. A good number of twos and fours, plus several larger tables towards the back. The place probably seats 60-70 people? I turned up about 5.30 pm, asking if I could book a table for 6 for... More

The charme of a 160 year old restaurant combined with today's standard of Austrian hospitality is what makes the Zwettler's so special. All of our regional ingredients which finally end up on your plates are chosen by us very carefully! Our beer is from the small local brewery "Kaiser Karl" and is available in different types - lager beer, unfiltered beer, wheat beer and pilsner. Every Saturday we offer Stuffed Breast of Veal and Sunday is Roast Pork Day! Enjoy it!
