Yes it's a little out of town. We walked into town one day through the forest!! I'm not a mountain goat....it's a once off and it was magnificent. Thank you to the local man who recognised our bus issues the next day and drove us into town...thank you. Taxi about 15 to 20 euros. The hotel is a lovely spot... More
For our dinner we chose a four-course menu. All the courses, preceded by some savouries from the chef, were excellent and the main course, zander with vegetable risoto was unusual, inventive and perfect. Also the dessert was great.
This is a charming hotel just out of Salzburg. You will need a car to stay here as it as a 10 minute drive or so down to town. This was one of the most charming rooms we stayed in during our 5 week holiday. Very cosy with a great view and atmosphere. A great alternative to the bustle of... More
It has been a very long time, since I have been this satisfied with a restaurant. The service was unbelievably kind and fast. Nobody was ever without a drink or had to wait for being served. The food was to-die-for. Venison and Samlet, to name just two of our choices, were incredibly delicious. Staying over night was also a pleasure... More
The first night we weren't that hungry and the food was so delicious we decided to come back the next night with our full appetites! First night service was wonderful and the food was fresh and flavorful. They had a menu change, and something we had hoped to try from the night before was missing - but the food was... More
Lobby & downstairs breakfast area was vintage Austrian complete with costumes. While our room was upscale with Spa-like on suite bath. Very comfortable seating/reading area + desk & chair. Large & varied buffet breakfast (fresh eggs done by request) included. Free WiFi. They would get an A+ if they provided shuttle to town. They will order a reduced fare taxi... More
This has to be one of my most favorite restaurants and hotels I have ever been to. We booked up our stay at the end of June. Check in had a minor hiccup that was quickly resolved. Our rooms were bright and spacious, very clean with great facilities, quality bedding and an excellent mattress that made our sleep very sound.... More
We were booked to stay in this hotel for 2 days but ended up staying 1 day only. It's a nice hotel with a restaurant that serves good food. It is on top of the hill, so if you do not have a car I would suggest think twice before booking, because you will have a hard time carrying your... More
Small but excellent menu with vegetarian options. Good wine menu and very good service. The restaurant is located in the hotel of the same name so might be a bit difficult to get to for a traveler not staying there.
