Sacher cake is great (as it should be), but you actually pay for the brand and atmosphere. Cake costs 7.10 EUR. Drinks are quite pricey (5 EUR for the teas, 8,5 EUR for the bottle of water). We waited quite some time before being served,

Waiters with attitudes, high prices, and an assembly line atmosphere all brought to you by a wait staff who have forgotten that they are representing the Hotel.

SItting outside overlooking the river at night is magnificent. Absolutely delicious desserts and dessert wines. Fabulous espresso too! Great spot to end the night.

First morning in Salzburg. And a great place to have breakfast. We had a selection of toast, croissants and jams along with fruit. Other options are available. The star of the show was the sachertorte which exceeded all expectations and is a must for anyone...More

It’s signature dessert Sacher cake is disappointing. Too sweet over casted the chocolate taste. Over-priced because of the famous hotel name. Not recommended

Three of us had Sunday lunch. Very elegant surrounds. Food classically Austrian e.g. Wienerschnitzel and reasonable priced given the location and opulent surrounds. However only 4/5, because 2/3 potato rosti were cold. Mine was hot, but this was because I hadn’t ordered anything (I definitely...More

The cafe terrace on the banks of the River Salzach is a perfect spot for coffee in spring and summer whilst the sumptuous interior ineffably blends the old world Sacher charm with modern comfort. As well as our much-loved desserts there’s also a variety of delicious savoury dishes to enjoy. At the Sacher Confiserie next-door to the cafe you can buy Original Sacher specialities and have them sent to friends and family members anywhere in the world.
