The place is lovely and worth a visit, I would not recommend to have a meal there, but instead a nice original satchel torte with prossecco or coffee. I order a steak tartar as a main meal, the quality of the meat was really good, however it was served with ordinary bread and condiments were not that great! Steak tartar... More

We ordered their original sacher cakes and sacher savarin. It was a very good experience. Especially their savarin. It tastes really good and their cream was so light.

It was pouring rain outside when we spotted the shelter of the Cafe Sacher. It's a beautiful, atmospheric, old worlde feeling inside; and what better time to have coffee and cake. Unfortunately the famous Sacher Torte was finished so we a strawberry torte instead. It didn't disappoint - less rich then the Sacher Torte and very fresh and easy to... More

Back in salzburg visiting for a day had gone on about this hotel so much took teen here for lunch. Wasn't disappointed. Good service fab food and amazing layout of cakes/desserts. Took teenager ages to decide. Main courses were substantial, service impeccable as before. Worth a visit as a special treat

Sacher is Sacher. It is always worth a visit for coffee and the famous Sacher torte with sahne. The outdoor coffeeshop had a nice view of city line.

We went to stopped Café Sacher Salzburg for some afternoon coffee and torte. The café is elegant yet inviting. We were seated without any delay. You can also buy the famous Sacher Torte in many places in Austria. But it is said that it was at Hotel Sacher in Vienna that started the most famous chocolate cake. With a classical... More

Sacher torte with cream and chocolate is what you should not miss in Austria, be it in Vienna or Salzburg. I have tried both and Salzburg wins hands down. Their setting is nicer overlooking the Salzach river and the place is mor relax than Vienna. Go for it!

We went for a day trip to a Salzburg from Munich and had a wonderful day. I excitedly told my husband I must eat a world famous Sacher Torte. So we entered the beautiful cafe and found a seat immediately. It was extremely warm inside the cafe but very pretty. I ordered the Sacher Torte and two coffees. Two minutes... More

Went into the cafe , captivated by their menu book. After reading the menu book, we were simply gracious to be able to indulge in such a historical cake. Lovely ambience and interior decoration. Admired the photos of past customers on display. We ordered sacher torte and the original sacher tea/ coffee. Simply love sitting inside the cosy cafe and... More
