And experience true Austrian coffee culture. The café is well situated on the river bank facing the old town. The interior is beautifully decorated and it feels like you're going back in time when you walk through the doors. Be a devil and treat yourself to a slice of Sacher cake and a café latte - you won't be disappointed.... More

They served good coffee and delicious cake The menu is in both German and English. There was a promotion for afternoon tea during my visit - EURO 13.60 for 1 piece of Original Sacher Torte,... More

We only had a short visit to Salzburg but couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the Cafe Sacher and to try the famous torte, even if it was 8:30am! The coffee was lovely and the torte didn't disappoint. Beautifully flavoured but not overpowering - not exactly our normal breakfast fare but we were on holidays after all! I loved how... More

Had a business lunch at the Cafe Sacher , all throughout the lunch one could hear the drilling sound and the young girl who served us said that rooms above the restaurant are being modernized and there is nothing can be done against the noise, eventually we were moved to a quitter corner , apparently the renovation work will be... Surprisingly the food was good despite the fact that it's famous for its cakes and tea. I started out having an afternoon tea and ended up with dinner.

It's the home of the famous Sacher torte... So what can I say? You're getting into the old-world classy environment and enjoying the atmosphere and the very Sacher torte :). Our waiter was awfully inefficient but maybe it was his bad day...nobody is perfect :).

Lovely old-world classy environment for tea/coffee and the original Sacher torte cake. Bit pricey at 6.50 euros for a cake but I guess you also pay for the settings. Servers are more pleasant and patient than what you would get on average in a restaurant in Salzburg too.

What can I say, it's the home of the famous Sacher tort with it's twin hotel in Vienna, If you now this, you are obliged to stop, they now it too. Sacher tort is not as great as it's fame, but the venue is lovely, worth a stop on it's own, well staffed, immaculate period uniforms, perfect English, a flawless... More

The cafe terrace on the banks of the River Salzach is a perfect spot for coffee in spring and summer whilst the sumptuous interior ineffably blends the old world Sacher charm with modern comfort. As well as our much-loved desserts there’s also a variety of delicious savoury dishes to enjoy. At the Sacher Confiserie next-door to the cafe you can buy Original Sacher specialities and have them sent to friends and family members anywhere in the world.
