a very large restaurant with different rooms and a large outside space (Biergarten). Food was decent, traditional. But annoying was the smoke of fellow guests. Be aware: in the summer you can only sit outside and Austrians tend to smoke. Would be nice if the restaurant would create a non smoking zone in the courtyard.

We visited Salzburg and decided to go to a tradional show last night. The show itself was very good and the singers were excellent. The dinner was very average and would suggest you have dinner elsewhere and just go to the show. But be aware you are packed in very tight and like us you miss alot because of people... More

This large restaurant in the centre of Salzburg old town has two beer gardens, an Italian self service, a cocktail bar and two smaller waitress service restaurants. We went to the cheaper of these two on a wet miserable evening, and had a delicious meal. We drank a local Reisling - fresh and floral. Then had tender boiled beef, diced... More

We came to Sternbrau for dinner after it being recommended it for gluten free diners. Unfortunately we wouldn't really agree with that recommendation, but we did still have a lovely meal and a nice evening. There was only about 3 or 4 meals suitable for GF diners, and my mums fish dinner, although very tasty was literally just trout and... More

The food is good and the drinks are fine. The problem is the amount of people. There were way to many of them. Surprisingly the service was fast but the waiter was rude.

We had pre-booked the 4 course luxury style dinner before the Sound of Salzburg show at Sternbräu, and we were glad that we chose the 4 course menu instead of the 3 course menu. It was a very good meal and the staff were nice although in a bit of a hurry. The dinner took place in the same room... More

Just off the busy main street of the old town, this enclosed courtyard offered a welcome quieter spot for us to enjoy a Midday radler. There's a self service canteen for outdoor drinkers and an indoor restaurant too - though we partook in neither.

A lovely place filled with locals in the centre of Salzburg. In the Beergarten they serve the nice Gösser beer. The food is good. I had the big salad with chicken (12,50 Euro) but I was not totaly pleased with it. Although the salad was good, there was no dressing or sauce or what so ever on it. And then... More

The "Sternbrau" is located right in the middle of the Old City of Salzburg, next to the world-famous Getreidegasse and Mozart's birthplace.

Since 1542, the "Sternbrau" step by step has become the biggest and most popular traditional beer inn of Salzburg. Since October of 2014, the whole restaurant complex is fully renovated and now offers an outstanding variety of eleven halls and parlours with a unique mixture of tradition and modernity.

We serve typical Austrian cuisine with a modern twist, our home-brewed unfiltered beer and our own Austrian red and white wine.
