Found this while out wondering on our first night, delicious local food we had the steak salad and the pork tenderloin. Service was good and the wine was fantastic value!

We found this restaurant near us while out walking in our first day in Salzburg. Hubbie cheekily asked a member of staff if we could reserve a table whilst she was turning up for work (they were closed) and, bless her, she took our name and said she would remember us. Well, 3 hrs later we turned up and bingo!... More

Having dinner before return to Munich, we decided to dine in this restaurant and it was very satisfying us. This place is a local spot, local food with delicious meals with a good service. We asked for an outdoor table, but it was full already. I guess, better to make a reservation to get a spot or get there for... More

This was our second time in Salzburg and we made it a priority to have one of our meals here - it was one of our favorites from our first visit. Great food and service. We loved the atmosphere.

If you're looking for some good, local cuisine, this is your spot. The food was delicious and the restaurant is in a great location, which is perfect for sightseeing! If you're in Salzburg, this is definitely worth a visit!

Luck was on our side when we were offered a table without reservation. The waiter asked us if we'd mind that we only had 1.5 hours to dine in as the table was already set for the patrons who made reservation for 8:00 pm. I am impressed with the upfront notification as opposed to being "chased away" after we had... More

That's not what they're called. And they don't actually use the nasty stuff from the supermarket with the dodgy ingredients. It really is called "Topfen Knodel" (Cheese Dumplings) and they are filled with Chocolate Praline (which tastes very much like, albeit much better than, Nutella). Do not leave Salzburg without eating this! Restaurant is very Convivial & welcoming. Shared tables.... More

The place has traditional Asutrian food and the decorations and ambience of the place also try to recreate that. The food was very good and had decent prices (good value for money) and the service was very good. I think that making a reservation is a must, because the place isn't too big and gets really busy. I would definitely... More

We attended as a family of 5 for dinner. We had the classic steak, beef soup and pancake, creamy chestnut soup, tapfelspitz and roast chicken. All dishes were great, tasty and portions were generous. Apple strudel was good. Gingerbread mousse was the highlight- beautiful flavour and texture.

I went to the restaurant on a Saturday evening at 5pm (when it opens) without a reservation and was able to get a seat. But looking at how busy the restaurant was I think it's definitely recommended to make a reservation. I had the veal schnitzel with a beer. The meat was tender and generally delicious. The service was also... More
