We had not booked, but they managed to fit us in, even though we had to share a table. Food was very nice but nothing special. Staff were proficient but not overly friendly and appeared not to be bothered. They had a very different attitude...when serving locals.More

This restaurant was not on our guides, but luckily we found it and booked a table. Best choice we could make. Beautiful location, extremely nice staff, welcome appetizer on the house and superb dishes! We strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy...a good Styrian dinner.More

While searching for a place to eat, while in Graz, we've accidentally found this place. The place has a nice traditional touch to it. Because of this, it felt really cozy. The staff was kind, funny and attentive from the moment we entered. Th food...was amazing. For a winter evening, this was just perfect. The bill includes the service, similar to the Italian "coperta"More

We stumble upon this nice, old looking, very promising restaurant. You can see the tradition from the entrance and on the walls. The staff was very friendly and respectful. We felt like royalty. Not many choices of food, but they had one thing from the...every major types of food. It was delicious. Every dish had a little touch of personality that gave it a divine taste. We went there without reservation. It was a great experience.More

During our visit in Graz we had a meal at this place in the center. It is not located directly at a square and so we were mainly surrounded by locals. The food was based on local ingredients and was original and tasty. We were...sitting on the terrace in between the apartments, very nice!More

The Stainzerbauer is always a good choice. The restaurant is tucked away, but less than 5 minutes walk from the Hauptplatz. It has a lovely traditional atmosphere and the service is very good. Its warm and inviting, more so in the colder months, very pretty...around Christmas, although in the summer it has it's courtyard. The menu is full of Styrian and Austrian tastes and flavours. We've always had a lovely meal on our few visits. The wine selection is good and very comprehensive. We would recommend and look forward to our next visit.More

We were walking around looking for somewhere for dinner when we saw this place, an attractive courtyard drew us in. What a lucky find, this is an extremely good restaurant. We were warmly welcomed, bread and menu quickly arrived. Our food was so very good,...quality ingredients perfectly prepared. The wine was excellent, too. Although we had eaten our fill the dessert menu was too tempting - wow! Without a doubt we will visit this restaurant again. The courtyard is perfect in hot weather and I imagine dining inside in colder weather will be just as good. The cost for 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine was About 100 euros - a fair price for the service and quality.More
