Their in house beer was fantastic. The bar snacks were quite good too. The fish and chips we had ordered wasn't that great, but overall this is a great place to visit.

Nice, quick, friendly. Great beef ribs. Very pleased on our stop in Linz. Summer garden pretty cool. They even have their own beer. Will stop again when in the town.

We visited Josef with my fiancee's family and had the chance to experience the great daily menu: a superb Wienerschnitzel with a delicious soup and a pretty varied salad bar. The environment and the place are super-warm and it's a place to enjoy a nice dinner, snack or just a drink. Unfortunately we didn't make it to see the upstairs... More

We tried the sunday brunch for the first time... quiet pricey but we came early and hungry so it was alright. Plenty of options for bread (flsesserl semmerl salzstangerl kornspitz) some better than others, coldcuts yoghurts fresh fruits and chocolate fountain. Egg station which took forever bc everyone wanted omlette.. and only one person on one stove was cooking them!... More

This is a very big restaurant and seemed to be filled to capacity when I was there. Although very noisy in the main part closest to the entrance, it was a a little bit quieter and less chaotic in the no smoking section in the back left corner. I had Backhendl (Austrian fried chicken) which I usually love, but it... More

Whenever I visit Linz I visit the Josef-Linz, it's one of my popular places with a great selection of food which includes a whole variety of Tapas. It's great to taste a lot of different Austrian specialities either savory or sweets. But there are many other items on the menu which are worthwhile to be tried. Staff is friendly and... More

Good news for smokers like me - this place has segregated areas for smokers and non-smokers. Don't know whether this is general practice in Austria, but we went to a coffee bar in Linz and it too had segregated areas. Good to go somewhere exercising common sense. Josef's is a great place, buzzy, good beer and good food. Very efficient... More

Whenever I visit Linz it's a must to visit JOSEF-LINZ. Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Service. It's the perfect place to catch-up with friends, watch Sports TV Life, meet for business or bring family along.

I was there with my friend last week during the champion leagues games, service was extremely slow, foods was not tasty at all. On top of that they can smoke inside which is definitely terrible situation. I can understand that because of the game, they were slow, but they already knew that there is a game and they can organize... More
