So, we are from America. We tried the pizza and the whole lake trout. Both were very enjoyable. Their house pizza was very good! Both my wife and I really really liked it. You have to try it. The whole lake perch/trout was good for me but I like fish and was prepared to dig out the bones. We did... More

I couldn't even try the food, because the waitresses( the fat one) didn't answer me. I standed there, she just kept walking by, then I asked her if there was free table for 1 person, she was not only no answer me, but no saw me!! Just like I was not there or just a stone on the street.( It... More

We got off the train around lunch time so ended up eating at the first restaurant we saw, which was Cafe Derbl right next to the main square. Ordered pizza and pasta. Pasta was ok, pizza looked like something from the freezer. Our own service was fine, but we saw the owner/waiter being rude to some other guests.

We found this cute patio (despite the rain) and thought it was a great location to have a late lunch. I had the bio-pasta with smoked salmon and pesto, which was fine if unremarkable. My husband had the boar and it was very good. In such a touristy location, good food and good service are hard to come by, but... More

We 've ordered goulash and pasta dish. The beef in goulash was like chewing gum with 4 pieces of potatoe. The salmon on pasta was ok, however the pesto on pasta was quite bitter. The dessert afterwards an apfelstrudel was lovely. We left this place quite disappointed.

Popped in for a lunch before leaving Hallstatt. Immediately told by older gentleman that we would have to go inside b/c of light rain.....then we watched him seat two other parties outside. Went to open table for two- greeted by waitress, given menus and ordered soup to begin with.....older gentleman came in an told us to move to a larger... More

We ordered the trout, salad, pizza and some pasta. The food is not wow but pretty fresh, and the service is good and fast. Perfect place to grab a lunch while people watching on the marktplaz.

We visited Hallstatt on a rainy day - wanted to have a lunch before the rain (maybe) stops... When we entered this busy restaurant on the market square, we thought it must have a great cuisine and be popular. Too bad I had not read the reviews on Tripadvisor.... It is a typical tourist factory - bad food at high... More

No ice cream homemade as someone mentioned before. Delicious trout dish as heard. Pizza OK. Pasta rather bitter herb (homemade pasta, cheese and herb menu) but its OK if you like but not for children

Pizza was ok, rindergulasch was average. My friend ordered the spaghetti and it tasted so bad, the risotto was also bad.
