Had high expectations given glowing reviews and the dishes did have a wow factor. However, the flavours did not have the depth that I would associate with this level of fine dining. I got the sense that visual impression was more important than content. The palatschinke were the best part of the meal.

Anything served between bread and Palatschinken just plain sucks. It all started so well with delicious bread and spreads... Unfortunately, the appetizer was tiny (sashimi) and the dressing just did not go well with the tuna. The main course (Zander, a type of fish) was perfectly cooked, but who in their right mind adds cloves to fish? Even worse, the... More

This was one of my best restaurent experience ever. Polite waiters, amazing food and wine. This place is unbelivable. Quite expensive but it is worth the price for the experience. We tried the 5 course menu (tartare, buillon, scallop, pigeon, chocolate mousse) with wine. Again, amazing...

Sloppy cuisine and service, wine came late or slow, menu very petit. Had a great chat with the sommelier, when 70% of the guests had left, showed me his cellar with some hidden gems. Food was good, but bland, dull and not of restaurant quality.

Beautiful food, well presented. It is not the cheapest food in Krems, but it is the best I have had.

The staff, atmosphere and of course the food is excellent. Special food wishes, due to allergies or intolerances, is absolutely no problem. Big charming courtyard is also available. The quality of the restaurant is excellent. Don't forget to stop by a drink at the in-house bar. Two charming barkeepers and an excellent choice of drinks are available.

We have eaten here several times. In an old wine storage area, original vaulted ceilings and brick walls give ambience. Good food and wine selection. Walkable from Krems or Stein, and close to Danube ship dock and river walkway, so very convenient.

A restaurant with modern furniture offering a nice selection of local wines by the glass. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The menus are an interesting choice (as in most restaurants) and I found the dishes creative, good-looking and of high quality.

it seems that trip advisor has more than one write up on restaurants called morwald but this is the one we went to and we were very impressed.Food was superb, including the amuse bouche and the wine list only added a nominal percentage to the costs of purchase in their shop.Overall we would highly recommend.
