I came to eat here by myself when it was still quiet at 20:30. The staff was very friendly and gave me good advice on their whines. They mostly (or only) serve local whines which are very good. I had a local starter, main and an international desert which were al very good. Well cooked along with the friendly service of the somewhat older waiters. After my starter things got really busy and i was impressed by how the waiters and waitresses served everyone while making jokes and small talk.

We visited this taverna three times during our holiday. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The pork chops and ribs are fabulous We have never been so well fed on holiday for a long time The balaclava is the best in the island We would definitely recommend this taverna

We booked in advance for Saturday evening. We were told there would be a party inside so we needed to have a table outside, which was fine. We managed to place our order before the party arrived. The waiter helped us choose a bottle of wine as they weren't offering carafes. We enjoyed the suggestion. We chose a mixed vegetarian dip starter to share which was delicious. All looked homemade and all fresh flavours. For mains we had a lamb souvla and a mixed souvlakia and sieftalia. The souvla was nicely presented on a hanging skewer. The meat was tasty but quite chewy for my taste. My husband liked his dish and also enjoyed mine, so I accept that maybe I should have chosen something else. We shared a brandy pudding for dessert. It was really delicious but we couldn't taste even a hint of brandy. The service throughout was very helpful and pleasant. Even though they were busy with the party they didn't forget us and even made sure to say goodbye as we left. I would definitely recommend this place.

We thought the food was below average for a Greek restaurant, Kleftico was dry, difficult to swallow and not the best flavour at all, the beef stifado was bland and tasteless. Felt the pricing was too high for the quality, the service felt rushed, so as to turn tables as quick as they could. Not an experience we will be repeating when we return to Paphos.

Looks nice enough, pleasant music and friendly staff. Sadly food was overpriced, bland and wine was silly prices with house wine only sold by the glass at about 5€. My kebab was just pices of chicken on a skewer, but none of the green marinade flavours I might have expected, plain boiled rice and boiled veg, not very exciting. The baby calamari for 8€ was minimal but it was soft and tasty. Mixed kebab had flavour in the sausage but again chips and veg just plain and bland... Ok if you just want quite plain food without the flavours of Greece.

We came here five years ago and had a lovely meal but unfortunately, returning this week, we were extremely disappointed. I had swordfish with rice and vegetables. The fish was ok but the rice had a strange bitter taste to it and the vegetables were so hard I could barely cut into them. My husband had lamb souvla but it had no taste at all (unusual for lamb) and again, the rice was strangely bitter tasting. The meal cost in excess of 80euros and it was the worst meal we’ve had all week. The service was lovely, as usual, and the waiters attentive and helpful but I had to review this to give an honest opinion

Visited here last Friday night with my wife after seeing some positive reviews and seeking a traditional Cypriot taverna. Unfortunately we never got to see any food as it took 25 minutes for the waiter to just take our drinks order without any acknowledgment or apology that we was sat there like lemons and then waiting for another 20 mins for our drinks to arrive and this was without him taking our food order. When our drinks arrived they got that wrong when we asked for a white wine and lemonade and instead it was just a white wine! And then he eventually came after we finished our drinks which we didn’t finish to take our food order and we said we weren’t eating and leaving as it took so long so we just paid our drinks bill and left, he just shrugged his shoulders and said “oh okay” and walked off, that pretty much summed it up, no apology or anything for waiting nearly an hour to take our food order. If they said it would be a long wait then we could decide if we wanted to stay or not but no, no acknowledgement or anything. There was only 2 waiters serving 18 tables, they simply couldn’t cope with the amount of people in their restaurant. To sum it up it was a joke and I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in a few countries abroad and even in England and we’ve never experienced terrible and ignorant service like this, they need to employ some more staff here before it gets a lot busier in the year otherwise they will suffer. Utter shambles

Dear Customer, We acknowledge the fact that we had a very bad service on the evening and I sincerely apologize for the bad experience. As you may or may not be aware the tourism industry in Paphos has suffered a lot during the last 2 years (we have been closed for 21 out of 24 months) and the new season only just started. We went from extreme cold serving 5-6 tables a night indoors in a cozy environment around the fire to an extremely busy outdoor night doing 25+ tables like what you experienced within a week and because of industry staff shortages in general we couldn't employee trained staff quick enough. We are usually good at managing the restaurant capacity to meet standards during service but on the evening we did not and took on way too many tables too quickly than we could actually serve. Our staffs behavior may have came across the way you perceived it but please understand that on the night they were just overwhelmed even to give you an apology. Again we sincerely apologize for your bad experience!

The most expensive meal we had on holiday and the worse rib eye steak I've had in my entire life and I'm old. 3 of us had same meal but waiter didn't care that our overpriced steak was inedible, fatty and poorly cooked. One to avoid.

We bought the description of authentic Cypriot etc - and we would be treated as real customers and family. Son had the ribs (he loved them), I had the pork and the other half had the fish. Im not sure what it is with descriptions - but it said oven cooked seasoned veg. What was on the plate was boil in the bag - crinkle cut veg (looked like it came direct from a supermarket). Very grumpy grey haired server (male about 50 ish) When it was pointed out to him it's not oven cooked vegetables - he became angry, raised his voice and shouted it's from the oven. We were there for 10 nights - we went to this place once - and never went back. There are other places we did go back to , which will be reviewed soon. I would also add - I felt for the family on the next table. The same grey haired server was pretty horrible to them, they looked so upset. There are better places to eat in Paphos, we felt like we were just a cash cow to this restaurant.

Visited Paphos so many times before but for some reason have never found this restaurant before today. An absolute gem of a find and such a change from the less authentic restaurants along the sea front. We received a warm welcome and the menu was a delight. What I would describe as proper home cooked food. We started with Tzatziki which we shared and was plenty for two. I chose the Lamb Soulva and my husband had the chicken souvlaki . Both tasted absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and it was obvious that he genuinely cared that we enjoyed our meals . I don’t know his name otherwise I would give him a shout out. I hope I can find the time to visit here again before it’s time to fly home . I would give six stars if I could .

A lovely little restaurant with delicious food. The food was lovely, and most of us had meze which was great value for money but in all honesty, it was far too much food for us which isn't a negative but felt like we were wasting a bit. It was nice to try a selection of different Cypriot traditional foods so definitely recommend doing it. The staff were friendly too.

We eat here every time we stay in Paphos and were disappointed not to be able to visit when we came out last year as it was closed due to Covid. Luckily it reopened this year just before we arrived - if you want traditional Greek food slightly off the beaten track then this is the place for you. As always, the food was good and staff were very friendly, can’t recommend this place enough.

If you are looking for an authentic, family run, Cypriot dining experience, then look no further. This hidden gem (just off the main walk into town) is it. The service was charming and friendly and we felt like regulars/locals although it was our first visit. The souvla (hanging lamb kebab) was amazing and the lamb chops were equally impressive. The recommended Cypriot wine suited both dishes so well we had to order another bottle 😊. Everything was going so well and then desert… (which we weren’t rushed into) just blew us out of the park! WARM home made baklava with ice cream was out of this world. Didn’t want to leave this restaurant so finished the evening with some ouzo Plomari, water and ice with a lovely set of glasses and made it a night to remember our trip by.

Exellent platter of dips gives you a little of many, we really liked that as a starter. Moussakka main course was OK, not sure potato belongs in a moussakka, but certainly there was too much of it and not enough aubergine/meat. Beef stifado was very good.
