First night in Cyprus, and wanted some traditional Cypriot food. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and we decided to go for the meat meze. It was so much food for us that we took away the leftovers that we couldn't manage! All very tasty...and seasoned well, and was also brilliant value.More
We were three, two meat eaters and one vegetarian, we all enjoyed very much, the food was well seasoned and very tasty, both the meat dishes and the meatless dishes, the salads were very fresh
And the meat is properly made. The service was excellent
The Mantra Tavern is a wonderful restaurant in Paphos, very close to the harbour. The food is amazing and the staff friendly and funny. Very happy to take photos for you if you want. We holiday in Paphos a lot and would happily eat here...every night. Their Kleftiko is the best we've ever had but if your feeling particularly hungry and there's two of you try the meat maze.More
We came here for dinner as the reviews said how good the food was and they weren't wrong. I had the lamb souvla which was delicious and my husband had the chicken kebab which was seasoned nicely. However, our waiter seemed quite stroppy and hesitant...to speak to us which was a little off-putting. The food took quite a while to come out which meant we ended up leaving the restaurant around 10pm when we'd got there around 7:30pm. I thought the pricing of food wasnt too bad but when we paid the bill, we should have received about €5 change but we never got it because the waiter assumed that was his tip! And he was so passive aggressive that we felt too embarrassed to ask for our change. So overall, if you dont mind waiting and you want good food, I'd recommend it. But I do think the service spoils the atmosphereMore
