What a find!! A beautiful pavement cafe in the shadows of Buyuk Han. Extremely friendly staff, English (and Turkish and a whole host of other languages!) speaking. Spent a couple of hours here, sitting in the shade and watching people passing by was a time...that holiday memories are made of. Extremely and highly recommended.More

I totally love this place. It's super cosy with an amazing atmosphere. People come there to play okulele, hang out, sing. Really chilled and relaxed bar with sweet people. I do recommend af!

What a find this was. We actually came here twice during our day in Nicosia, and both times were brilliant. First of all, you don't get hassled to sit at this cafe like all the other cafe's. It had a lovely eclectic feel and a...drinks menu on a blackboard. No food was on offer when we were there, but drinks is what we were after. So for our first visit we had two absolutely superb cappuccinos. Lovely strong taste, hot, and a wonderful creamy head. It was up there with Italian coffee and way above what you would get in UK or many other parts of Europe. Our second later visit was for smoothies. Some interesting flavours and combinations could be created depending on what was in season. Pear, celery, ginger, apple, strawberry, etc. They were generously large, packed full of flavour, and served with an environmentally friendly bamboo straw. Sitting outside while sipping these drinks was a lovely experience.More

Tucked in a pedestrian side street off Kurtbaba Sk is this delightful tiny cafe with the back drop of the Buyuk Han. Outside seating in the shade and a fantastic cappuccino with a piece of fig made for a perfect rest spot away from the...tourist hubbub. We returned later for fresh fruit smoothies - delicious. Please give this cafe a visit.More

This is down one if the side streets not far from the boarder in Nicosia. We stopped for a drink and got the speciality Pomegranate and soda, purple, drink. They are very refreshing but do taste a bit vegetably. The cafe feels quite Turkish even...though you are still close to the Greek side. Very friendly and worth a stop off if you are close by.More

Wonderful athomsphere with French,Spanish, Italian, Brazilian music. Friendly and stylish waiter, I liked very much that they supported the Israeli Day in Cyprus and the local LGBT comunity with ads on their window.

This is THE mellow place for the "alternative" Cypriot and international communities to gather, younger and older. Excellent live music on some evenings, usually Saturday night. Great place to meet friends -- new and old. It's a cafe/bar; no food is served, but you can...order and have it delivered from one of the outdoor restaurants on the square. Hoi Polloi is located on a pedestrian walkway, on the square just outside the Buyuk Han entrance that is closes to the checkpoint.More
