The food was ok, although difficult communication with service. Our room was looking tidy but finally it wasn't. Insects and human hair under the bed sheets and a spider in bathroom. They gave us another room but it was the exactly in the same condition....So we decide to leave.
Last year the whole image was much better than this time. We will not visit this place again.More
Well it is off season and not so many tourists in the area so the very large dining room felt a bit incousy. And some parts of the menue wasn’t availanle. But the trout was very good and the prices moderate.
In the dark the...place is a bit hard to find.More
This is always my destination for lunch (if I am in the area) for as long as I can remeber :) Great location just off the main road but it seems that you are all alone surounded by trees. The Forest Red Mushrooms (if available)...are amazing. Traditional dishes at normal prices.More
Stay in their rooms for a night and had a nice dinner.Cause was a bid late we resided to order pestrofa (trout). The owner said to us that fish delivered to the restaurant fresh earlier, same day. It was really fresh and nice cooked, worth...of trying if you like fresh water fish.
In the morning we had a nice traditional breakfast (Bed & breakfast included).Usual Cyprus traditional breakfast with hallumi, ham, olives, jam and butter, boiled eggs and a lot of bread and coffee & tee, as much as you want.
The position of this place is definitely the most beautiful place in the whole Island.
Visit it for lunch and you will taste the best souvla in Cyprus ( visited several times in past). And is cheap!
If you are looking for luxury, the place is not for you. This is a traditional family restaurant in the mountains hidden in the shadow of the forest with a natural water stream coming from troodos mountain passing from the front side of the place.
Probably half of the Cypriots visit this place at least ones in their life (is one of the oldest restaurants in the island still open)
I recommend the tourist coming to Cyprus to visit droseri potamia and the mountain area, they will be amazed how wonderful experience is. You need only one hour driving from the most far place of the Island to arrive on mountains and this lovely restaurant. And another 15-20 minutes driving and you are in the highest level in Cyprus (mount Olympus 1952 meters from sea level).More
Fast service and good food. Tasty and desent portions. Prices could be better and/or cheaper starters.
Try the koupepia (stuffed vine leaves) the lamb liver and the makaronia tou fournou (oven pasta). Everything is tasty and served under 10minutes.
