Whilst in Famagusta recently we popped into Petek's for an ice cream - perfect on a hot day and to pick up some sweets. I can only say I was like a child. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory came to mind. It was absolutely great. The staff are amazing with advice on the varieties of Turkish Delight (there are so... More

Fabulous place to purchase all your yummies for the sweet tooth. You can eat here or just shop and have a cold beer. Very pretty inside and comfy seats to rest weary tourist legs.

One of the attractions that you must see famagosta. You will feel yourself like living 50 years ago. Do not forget to taste ice cream called kesme dondurma which is block of ice hard cream that you eat with knife and fork.

We ordered three different kinds of Baklava for our afternoon tea. It was excellent, not overly sweet as you have it in other places. The Turkish Coffee is served with some pieces of Turkish honey (in our case nut filled). The other bakeware and patisserie on offer (of which there is plenty!) looked very good, too.

The restaurant seems to be a place with a history. It was hugely entertaining to look at the vast array of sweets; ice creams; pastries. I had Kunefi which is cheese and semolina vermicelli with honey and baked, and goats milk ice-cream. There are terrapins in a pool and birds in a cage and electric fans, welcome on 2 hot... More

A quick lunch before returning to the tour bus, but lovely food, fantastic cakes, great atmosphere. Could have stayed there and chilled all afternoon. Recommended.

Strapped here for an afternoon snack. The choice of cakes is amazing. The view from the roof top cafe is brilliant and it has a very welcome breeze on a hot afternoon. Then bought some sweets to take home. A must-do shop in Famagusta
