As ever Sunday lunch at the Hatch was superb. Great portion of roast beef with all the trimmings served in this atmospheric pub in Ashdown Forest popular with walkers. Friendly service and reasonably priced wines. Booking a must at weekends especially Sunday lunch.

We used to eat here regularly several years ago and the place was outstanding. Everything was as it should be. Returned at the weekend, after returning to the country, for a family celebration to find it has changed hands. Warm and friendly welcome. The service...More

Arriving on time for a pre-booked Sunday lunch we were served good food but had to wait an hour before we got anything to eat! The menu choice was o.k. but nothing special and the prices seemed to be a touch on the high side.

Enjoyed a quiet drink at the bar which has a great atmosphere and is extremely dog friendly. The bar staff in Henry and Abs are always attentive and make the evening very enjoyable

Dear Bob, I have investigated this issue which I am clearly disappointed about however I must defend our position here in that your stated time, which you suggest was 'about' 14.08, was in fact somewhat later & certainly post our lunchtime closing time for food.
