This restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere, good service and a good qualitiy of traditional dishes. In my opinion the portions are too small, after starters, main course and dessert i had just enough not leave hungry...Still i would recommend this place

Because TA doesn't have Luxembourgish as a category of cuisine, it's kind of hard to find traditional Luxembourg cuisine in their listing (hint, hint TA!). But by looking through entries and comments you can find a few. And we settled on Am Tiirmschen and we were not disappointed. We came for the Kniddleln and liked the choices, including the seasonal... More

We came to this restaurant with no reservation, and they said they were full. So we had to come back in 45 mins, when after waiting an additional 10 mins at the door, we got a table for two. We found it funny that even though the restaurant was half empty, they refused other guests saying they were full and... More

We went to this place as recommended at our Hotel, and were absolutely satisfied. A small restaurant, in the middle of Old City, perhaps a bit difficult to find, as has no entrance directly from the street, but in a courtyard, however rewards in full for the search. A traditional yet relaxed atmosphere, with low sound, candles and very friendly... More

My husband and I were recommended to Am Tiirmschen by the city tourism office after we asked about a good restaurant with traditional, Luxembourgish cuisine. We ended up ordering a the Judd mat Gaardebounen (a smoked collar of pork with broad beans) and Bouneschlupp (green bean soup with sausage which I think I could eat every night), as well as... More

It's not a fancy place, but you eat well. You rather go there to eat traditional food and usually with family and friends, not the place you would take a date out. Food quality is good for those who like that type of cuisine.

Dinner with colleagues. Excellent ambience in the old city. Sit in the oriel window that, on the outside, has the famous Luxemburgisch motto, 'We want to remain as we are'. Helpful staff. The classic Luxembourg dish Judd mat Gardebounen was pronounced good; my fish dish was quite small; the third person's steak was nothing special. Local desserts are worth trying.... More

We were a company of 10 persons on a very busy Saturday-evening. Though the restaurant was full, we had a cosy table and privacy behind a curtain. The staff was very kind and helpful and the food was extremely good. As starters we had a selection of Luxubourgish specialities, so everyone could taste everything. As main I had Kniddelen with... Warm welcome from the owner and some excellent suggestions from the wine list. Decor is lovely with the sand stone walls and classic look. A good solid address for a real taste of locally sourced products.
