Our favorite Greek restaurant in city!

We went to this restaurant third time and their food never fails us! We sat in a terrace inside the restaurant which was nice for a change because we usually sit in the terrace which is at the entrance. For starters we had Aleo welcome starter, grilled baby squid(our all time favorite) & Greek salad paired with a bottle of Malagousia white wine (suggested by the waiter). We loved the grilled baby squid so much that we ordered another plate 😋. For main course we had our other favorite ‘Orzo prawn pasta’ (shared by two people. Ideally the quantity is perfect for one). This dish had a nice flavor of prawns & fresh tomatoes. For dessert we had ‘Walnut pie with vanilla ice cream’, the pie was a little hard to cut but it tasted good. Apart from food, the service was good too. They have nice, polite & funny staff. They recommend some nice dishes & wines!

Friendly Greek/Mediterranean spot north of downtown

Our table had a lamb shank, a prawn risotto, and some grilled squid, all excellently prepared. The atmosphere is attractive and contemporary and didn't try to go faux Greek. The service was SPECTACULAR. We told them we were in a hurry and they served things up promptly, didn't disappear when it came time to ask for the check, and even called us a cab. There is a nice bar there too. We didn't drive there, but there looks like plenty of street parking there in the evening. The restaurant is right at the Emile Metz bus stop on the 10 11 and several other bus lines.

My family and myself are eating to Aleo frequently, and we choose more Sundays since for the Greeks is more family gather together day. We found out recently that the management has changed and we saw change in the menu. There was a disappointment on the menu, since the main dish choices are much less and not so much "sharing" style (which is Mediterranean style). No fish also. What was missing also now, was the hosting. The waiters were very typical, missing the point of what hosting a family for lunch means. The only good servicing person is the sommelier, he knew his job, he had excellent style and totally on to his customers. I did my comments also on the food when we paid and the manager called us back. Here I have to say that accusing the previous managers is not professional either. The previous couple knew each customer by their names, their habits and that's is Greek hospitality (if not Mediterranean). Having a Greek community of 4000 in Luxembourg is something big and respectful, something that I haven't felt from the recent manager who is also Greek. He promised that he will look after my comments. Let's see.......

If you can avoid, go somewhere else

Even so the decoration of the restaurant is nice and cosy, the food is not good. We had the daily menu. I was very disappointed as it is processed food. I do not get the point to go out for lunch or diner and eat industrial food.... Also I guess it was a bad day for our waitress as she gave a shower to one of the guest with the cocktails, second round of cocktails were served as the same time than the starter and finally I get the milk on the handbag and jacket!

Very chic but not so tasty

The place is very chic and cozy, they have a front and a back terraces, very cozy and peaceful. Inside you can also buy some local products. Everyone was very friendly but the service is very slow. A our dishes were cold and not so Tasty, with a lot of butter even in fish. Not really Mediterranean.

1 st mistake: wrong appetizer. 2nd mistake: our friends' main courses were served more than 20' before ours. 3rd mistake: the main course (calamari) came with lettuce only...! The menu mentioned quinoa & veggies... We informed the waiter and no alternative was given to us. 4th mistake: we were charged full price for the wrong appetizer and the main course with calamari and salad only.

Disappointed and poor value for money

We wanted to share with our 3 children (already adults) the excellent experience we had in this restaurant 3 years ago. I must say we were disappointed. Lots of noise (but they are not responsible for that) but very poor value for money. Large portion on the plates but certainly not very fine for the asking price. In addition, waiting times are really long (even if I understand that speed is not necessary for a family meal). We therefore left without dessert because the time between choosing on the menu and taking the order exceeded 20 minutes.

Fantastic service & food

My extended family of 6, including 2 teenagers and 2 seniors, really enjoyed our dinner while sitting outside on the large patio. Probably the best service we had during our 3 week trip to Europe. The staff treated us like family. I felt like I was in Greece with all the delicious seafood selections along with Greek wines.

Fantastic place for a family lunch

We visited a few weeks ago as a family of four with two young children for lunch on a Sunday. We really enjoyed our afternoon and brought my visiting parents this afternoon. They have been to Greece every year for over 20years and love the food. We all thought the food today was incredible. Friendly service and a beautiful atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend the place more

Great Greek Grub

Booked the restraint in advance, which is recommended for a weekend as it fills up. Food was excellent, drinks great, with recommendations and some bans alongside this from the staff. It would sometimes take a while to get someone’s attention, could maybe do with one or two more staff on busy nights. Lovely surroundings

Excellent Service and Memorable Experience for Our Work Event

We had a fantastic work event at this restaurant, and I want to praise the team for making it such a success. The food was excellent, the ambiance was perfect, and working with George and his team was incredibly smooth and effortless. Everyone truly appreciated the experience. The outdoor area was also a highlight—it added a fun and unique touch to the evening. Highly recommended!

Nice evening out

We all enjoyed our dinner at this place: friendly waiters, not too loud in there, nice deco, plenty of drinks choices and good food. We were well advised by the waiters too. Only small downside we had to wait very long for the bill, otherwise all good.

undercooked Iberian pork

I ordered through Wolt the iberian pork, it was undercooked (superficially grilled), I have to cook it at home and I don't have an oven. Expensive and disappointing.
