We chose this (now called Portocello) to console us for the end of an enjoyable holiday and because it was open on a Monday evening. We had an early sitting but it rapidly filled up so I imagine booking is advisable. Normally one would avoid...More

It doesn’t exist anymore! It’s now called « Porticello » with same menu and staff. It’s still excellent. Had seafood spaghetti and a lobster fresh pasta - utterly subtle and delicious. The Maltese red wine was beautiful. Amazing views over the Harbour.

My husband and I wandered into the area a few evenings ago with the idea of catching the ferry to Sliema. However when we saw this lovely building right on the waters edge we decided to stay and eat here. We felt very fortunate to...More

We’ve been here before but there’s been a change of name.. staff were mainly the same. Have to say that on this occasion we were disappointed with the food and felt it was quite expensive. Will probably give this a miss Next year

We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel and what a great recommendation it was. We sat inside due to last minute booking (space outside was lovely). The staff could not be more welcoming, and there were about 4-5 staff members who served us during...More

We stayed in Valletta for 18days so can safely say we tried a fair few restaurants specifically for seafood - this was by far the best with a really beautiful dining experience. We arrived just before they opened without a reservation and even though closed...More

Sorry, I just pass by when in Valletta, and want good food. You probably don’t ask the owner his affairs, criminal records and darkest sides. If it’s true it’s sad. But still a very, very good restaurant.

This historical place dating back to World War One came back to life after an extensive renovation. Situated on the waters' edge one can enjoy the views of Manuel Island and Sliema Fort while towering above are the great Valletta bastions. Our team of chefs created a brilliant Sicilian menu to complement this ambiance. One cannot miss the daily catch caught directly from our fishing vessels cooked AL SALE or ZUPPA adding some calamari and prawns for the best experience ever :)
