A hidden gem serving local cuisine. We were a family of 7 and all enjoyed our meal, they made pasta for the kids while the adults enjoyed a mix of local dishes. All were delicious especially the Rabbit stew. Good prices

Wouldn't usually do a food photo, but this restaurant is a little jewel. We found it purely by chance out to celebrate an early anniversary meal. A traditional Maltese Restaurant, it has a small menu but everything is local and cooked fresh. I had the...Pea Risotto, it was to die for ! Well worth the 30 min wait. Bill had Beef Truffle Pasta. I stumbled upon this place with my sister while meandering the streets of Valletta, and WOW, what a find! This family run restaurant definitely won our hearts with their super kind staff and incredible food. We were just looking for a small bite and shared...the fish of the day which came with amazing roasted potatoes and a salad. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the waiter suggested a Rosé French wine that was so good. Highly recommend for some exceptional Maltese food.More

Enjoyed dinner outside here before going to a concert at Teatru Manoel. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our schedule. We enjoyed our dinner in the heart of the city.

Had a wonderful meal at this friendly restaurant. The rabbit in red wine sauce was absolutely delicious. Succulent and so much of it, though we both managed to pick the bones clean ! A most enjoyable experience for our last night in Malta.

The best food we've tried in Malta so far. It's a bit pricey but overall standard price for the island. 4/5 because we were sitting indoor and smell and smoke from the kitchen filled the room, even though the door was open.

The traditional rabbit dish, as well as the pasta with the rabbit sauce, were absolutely amazing! Really tasty desserts and overall, a really pleasant atmosphere, with very welcoming staff (chers to the most friendly waiter, Hassan!)

LaPira restaurant is housed in a stylish ancient Maltese building of character (check out the staircase!) whilst also having covered tables on the pedestrian Merchant street. We enjoyed tender flavoursome mussles, crispy calamari and well cooked tasty gorgonzola agnolotti. Good aperitifs and wine added to...our enjoyment of the venue and food. The staff were warm and attentive, and Paul was the most welcoming of hosts - thank you for adding good holiday memories. We highly recommend this restaurant restaurant a try.More

Mona was thrilled when I told her that the national dish of Malta is rabbit. She ordered the "Maltese Rabbit" and loved the dish. It was fragrant and succulunt. I had the herbed lamb which was also magnificent. For apps, we chose rabbit cakes and...deep fried goat cheese. Perfection! Our server, Sultana, was attentive and charming. Thank you Sultana. We can recommend La Pira, without hesitation. It was wonderful!More
