We had a fabulous meal at Lapira Maltese Kitchen. Seafood soup was exceptional, and also the stuffed marrows - both very tasty and beautifully seasoned. Super reasonable for food and wine and Shaiful provided great service. Highly recommended.

We’ve had a nice lunch with typical good food, the service was fast, the place is very nice and the staff is very kind and lovely. Shaiful made us smile with his kindness and care.

Despite the touristy nature of the restaurant, the food is good. Friendly service and just a pleasant meal without being exceptional.

I should have seen the danger signs before dining here. The restaurant is located on a busy street in central Valletta with a waiter flagging down passing tourists to attract business. The Maltese red wine was rather good. But the rabbit rigatoni was far too...liquid.More

Staff provided amazing service, very attentive to their guests. Food was even better. Paired with light white wine. Definitely recommend seafood. A busy place on a busy street, a reservation is a must for dinner.

LaPira seems to be a nice mix of locals and tourists and the number of tourists and buzzy location don't seem to affect quality in any way. We were in the outdoor covered area which was warmed by gas heaters on a chill spring evening;...we arrived early-ish and found a table, but by the time we left there was a line. I tried rabbit here for the first time; Lady BarStool had the octopus. The fried calamari starter was delicious, soft and chewy, and the date dessert was to die for. Rabbit is common on menus in Malta. Channel your inner Anthony Bourdain and give it a go. I found it to be, well, like chicken, somewhat tasteless and needing a strong sauce to make it appealing. Long story short: LaPira is a recommend.More

Great food, well prepared and great service, huge cauliflower and celeriac soup starter, stuffed marrow was a revelation, great local rabbit, and if you visit a few times, as we have you really get looked after. That is of course not to say that they...don’t look after you on the first visit!More

There are many small restaurants in central Valletta but this one took my fancy to sample Maltese food and I wasn’t disappointed. I turned up without a reservation but a friendly host “squeezed me in” after about 5 minutes. Very efficient service and tasty food....I had the Maltese plate to start and rabbit as my main washed down with a Cisk beerMore

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by out hotel. We were very impressed. Friendly, welcoming staff. Delicious calamari and pulled rabbit rigatoni. Very fast and efficient service. We would definitely return when visiting Valletta again.

Expensive meals, salty mussels, small portions, unfriendly & incompetent waiters. Don’t go there! One friend was allergic to diary and they told us on the telephone they would have something for her as well, but that wasn’t the case.

I had the rabbit with very high expectations reading the comments here. Sadly it was very average. Atmosphere not great. Service was just OK. Red wine by the glass was good though.

As per the previous answer. Give them a ring or send them an email. If you are definitely going then a reservation will take any stress out of the lunch.

I'm sure you won't need a reservation. As stated above, no kids' menu but there's so much good food to choose from, I'm sure you'll find something.
