Nenu The Artisan Baker is a meeting place for young and old, locals and foreigners, frequent patrons as well as those desirous of a taste of local authentic cuisine served within an old setting, restored to a pristine and unique look. Undoubtedly, the business venture places major emphasis on the need to promote the historical, cultural and societal importance of the prima donna which prompted the whole idea behind the project, namely... the Maltese bread in its traditional format. Apart from the meeting spots such as the 'Bar' area and the 'Discovery Room' area (primarily aimed at the younger generation), the premises offer an extensive dining coverage spread in many key points such as the

Malta has an outstanding tradition of baked goods and Nenu is probably the best place in Valletta to explore them, including ftira, flat-breads akin to (but to my mind, more interesting than) pizzas, pies and sweet pastries. They also serve a full range of Maltese...fish and meat dishes - we enjoyed the fish soup. Nenu is a destination, so you may have to book - particularly in the evening.More

Excellent genuine Maltese food. Our dining experience was perhaps more "very good" than "excellent", but that is more because the restaurant sticks strictly to Maltese dishes, which limits their culinary possibilities. So they deserve full marks if you are looking for Maltese food. Do not...be fooled by the name (Baker), it is a restaurant.More

I'd come across Nenu in a few different articles I'd read on where to eat in Malta and seeing that they specialize in Maltese cuisine, I thought it would be worth trying. To start with the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful! I felt like...part of the family! The food is truly exceptional. Nothing fancy per say, but great quality ingredients and well made with love. I had a starter of fried cheese and local veggies, then a Ftira (which I totally fell for), and finished off with their seasonal dessert, a Maltese take on a British mince pie (part of the island's heritage too!). I was only bummed out that I hadn't discovered Nenu earlier during my stay... or else they might have seen me every day! Still dreaming of it!More

This was not the first time for us to visit Ta' Nenu, but it was the first time we went without a booking on a Sunday for lunch. Served by Isaac and after him explaining to us the specialties we've decided to go with the...rabbit liver in gravy for starters and for main dish we took beef ribs. Maltese bread with some tomato paste, bigilla and olive oil was given to us on the house before all. A bottle of Maltese wine complimented the great atmosphere found in this traditionally Maltese restaurant. Thanks to Isaac we have enjoyed our food and the time spent in the restaurant. TMore
