It looks expensive after all its a palacia but don't worry it's not too expensive for one or two courses. There is a good selection of unusual dishes. We had snails and calamari. The snails were excellent and nothing like the French snails and the calamari was tender. Washed down with a local white wine as good as any .... More

This place gets kind of full so we booked in advance. There was a great fresh fish selection and we went for that straight away - choosing from the cart. Price of fresh fish was 52 Eur Kg. We chose snapper (seemed to be a Malta typical fish) and it came very baked just right and nicely laid out with... More

We stumbled across this restaurant, having walked aimlessly around Valetta. The restaurant was busy as it was Friday night, but even without a reservation they were able to provide us a table. The staff were attentive, and when told that I required gluten free, they went out of their way to ensure I had a lovely meal, including a warm... More

We had a very nice meal with some excellent local bread but there was a sour taste left in the mouth. As we tried to pay the bill their credit card machine was not working correctly and after trying 3 different local cards, finally a UK MasterCard worked we were treated poorly with the owner/ manager Joe ignoring us at... Found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and tried it. Great reception by the owner and his family, nice surroundings with high ceilings and stone walls, great food and good wine at very reasonable prices. Real cloth tablecloths and cloth napkins, good glassware just to round of a great dining experience where you are well looked after and made to feel welcome.... More

We walked around the streets of Valletta during the day to find a nice restaurant for the evening. Lots to choose from yet many are tucked away and it is difficult to gauge the dress code from a menu on a wall outside, which is the case for a lot of restaurants in town. Then we found Palazzo Preca, luckily... More

Stumbled on this place as a gal was locking up for the day - she chatted us up and encouraged us to come back....and we did. Had no idea we were walking into a world class dining venue, and the gal with the key is the award winning owner/chef. The location alone - in a true 16th century palazzo, with... More

Visited Palazzo Preca on the occasion of Malta's national feast, St Paul's shipwreck with the rest of my family. Booking in advance is recommended, Service was excellent and staff very cordial. Lunch was above what we expected. The proprietor goes round clients to ensure that all is to one's satisfaction. My young nephews were also served with what children prefer... More

A very old building right in the heart of the beautiful city Valletta, has been converted into an excellent restaurant. Wonderful eating experience. Superb food and attentive staff. Certainly most recommended.
