You would not expect the food in a high end area of Valletta to be this bad. The salmon pasta looked like someone slashed a piece of salmon on top. The octupus was not edible. The portions were not striking. The curry rice was clearly...not restaurant level. Waiters could have been more present too. Dessert didn't taste fresh. Coffee was not impressive. I'm just being honest guys. I'm disappointed.More
My husband, 3yo son and I went to Bistro 516 for lunch and we enjoyed our meal immensely. Our server Varun immediately made us feel welcome. Though it was quite busy, service was fast and there was no compromise on quality. We will definitely be...going back and we hope to see Varun again!More
Decided to try this restaurant during a weekday with a family member. We took their fillet speciality and lasagna, both of which were delicious. We were served by Kurt, who offered us a lovely service. The environment is relaxing and prices are reasonable. Will visit...again.More
Excellent Service by Bistro 516 at Valletta waterfront. It is suitable for coeliac people, which they will take very serious and with responsibility. I had the scottana burger with fries and salad and my mum had a Maltese platter. We enjoyed it so much considering...that we were 2 months at home due to the covid situation. We needed to breath fresh air thus the location made it an excellent placeMore
Visited on a Friday Night and it was really busy. we opted to sit outside, which was great albeit a little chilly - I think an extra heater or two or re-positioning of heaters could be better. Not their fault, but a few stray cats...running about so be aware if your allergic or would be put off.
Starters - Bruschetta Mia - just perfect. we actually only ordered one portion, but there was definitely enough for two people, especially as they bring lovely fresh Maltese bread and butter out for before then.
Mains - Riso Allo Scoglio - Huge portion that the boyfriend could not finish it. Perfectly seasoned, they did not skimp on the seafood, it was delicious.
- Chicken Parma - Again huge portion as you get 2 chicken breasts. The chicken was slightly overdone, so was a little on the dry side, but as it had the sauce you could soak it up a little.
Drinks: We had 3 cocktails didn't really like any. Started with a Blue Lagoon - which is usually quite sweet, very very sour tasting. Then a strawberry daiquiri. Again very sour for a daiquiri, and a standard mohito which had way too much lemon in, not enough mint and again was just too sour tasting, They did put alot of alchohol in though. We ended up going for a beer and a coke after to play it safe.More
You need to get to the waterfront which is about 300 metres long and walk along it. You will find the restaurant. Just look at the names of the restaurants as you walk along because there are many others!
