Local food, beautifully made and fantastic portions.
The decor is traditional with a modern edge and the staff were very attentive.
Just when we thought we could eat no more, one of the staff brought a tray of the desserts to look at, there is no way you can resiste as they looked and subsequently tasted delicious!
Bill was very reasonable for the quality and quantity if food snd drink we had. I definitely recommend a visit!!

I have Coeliac Disease so it is always tricky finding nice places to eat with the family where there are plenty of gluten free options and I don't feel like I am restricted to a small part of the menu. Outside is very pleasant with a view out over the boats in the marina. Inside is air-conditioned if it's too hot for you outside. Food was lovely and I did not react to it at all which means that in my opinion they did the preparation properly. You can find the Gluten Free menu on their website. We enjoyed lunch here so much we came back again later in the week.

Went over to this restaurant twice in a month and can definitely say that the food is of a superior quality, well presented and cooked as desired.
Service is excellent, with capable and knowledgeable servers, ready to assist you in your order.
Highly recommendable. Will visit again for sure

Fantastic service! We were 30 people for a family meal. We pre booked the food and had been placed upstairs which was great as it was then like a private dining area. The food was delivered all at the same time ( which in some places is not done for a table of 4). The service throughout was fantastic and the food was super. Definitely a place to go if you have not been and one to return too many times. They cater for all and have a full menu/ kids menu/gluten free/ Vegan! Fantastic

Used to be the best restaurant. Kitchen staff and waiters have changed. Low level of food quality; small portions and arrogant and unprofessional waiters. Got hit in the head by one of the passing by waiters. Another inexperienced waiter spill coca cola on a customer. Don't even know how to hold. Tray on hand. Ordered ribeye and chicken Parma. They don't serve any more hot veg and we only got a small portion of fries. Around 12 portions of chips in all pasta carbonara was awful nd hard as a plastic for the second time in a month. Used to be our favourite restaurant till yesterday

This place is very well located in waterfront. They have a good variety of food, we tried ribeye and chicken.
They were both great. The ribeye (medium rare cooked) super soft and juicy with a delicious gorgonzola sauce.
Even the chicken was tasting perfect and portions very big. The fries were not so abundant as the rest of the meet as well as the veggies.
We'll come back to taste some pasta plate as well. Price is average, considering the good quality of the food.

Quick service, very polite, friendly and efficient. Sat by the waters edge which was nice though flys can be quite a problem. Great choice of food and drink, huge portions - one person had just a starter which was as big as a main. Delicious pasta, chicken curry also a hit! You won’t leave hungry, lovely place for dinner.

You would not expect the food in a high end area of Valletta to be this bad. The salmon pasta looked like someone slashed a piece of salmon on top. The octupus was not edible. The portions were not striking. The curry rice was clearly not restaurant level. Waiters could have been more present too. Dessert didn't taste fresh. Coffee was not impressive. I'm just being honest guys. I'm disappointed.

We had dinner at bistro 516 on a Saturday evening.
Weather wasn't nice and we got a table outside were we had rain water underneath and very cold. When booked no one asked for inside or outside. Than we changed the table in different direction so no water underneath us. Manager said that we didn't asked to stay inside so he prepared outside for us. But having 2 children I think in that weather is not ideal to stay out side.
Food portion where very good but burger was served medium which is not the proper way to serve a burger and no where in the menu stated. He was saying that because it is Angus burger. An 8 year old child and a pregnant woman ordered these burgers and they didn't know that it is served like this. We complained about it but nothing was done
Unfortunately the service wasn't very good but food yes.
Definitely we do not visit again. Not even a coffe was offered at least to calm down a bit the situation

Excellent Service by Bistro 516 at Valletta waterfront. It is suitable for coeliac people, which they will take very serious and with responsibility. I had the scottana burger with fries and salad and my mum had a Maltese platter. We enjoyed it so much considering that we were 2 months at home due to the covid situation. We needed to breath fresh air thus the location made it an excellent place

We have a family member with celiac disease and needed a restaurant to cater for her needs. We had a fabulous evening free of worry because she was very well catered for. The food was cooked separately and there is an excellent children’s gluten free menu too. The staff were extremely helpful and all 6 meals were delicious. We sat outside to soak up the lovely views. Well worth a visit. Thank you so much for a great evening. You will not be disappointed.

The Bistro has a whole separate glutenfree menu accessible via qr-code. A great variety of different dishes - even some fried dishes with glutenfree batter.
This much choice of glutenfree dishes was unrivaled during our stay at malta. The staff, Kurt especially, was very helpful and forthcoming.
If you come during the day, one Can Even try a glutenfree Version of the maltese bread ftira.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 3/4 years now.
We were always satisfied with the food and service. Especially with the gluten free menu.
We revisited yesterday.. food was good as always and even portions were abundant.
Unfortunately the service was a bit unprofessional; waiters with the mask under their chin all the time. It's better not to wear a mask in the first place. Also most waiters didn't even speak to you.. they just put the food/menus on your table and leave
Used to be a good 5 star overall but not lately unfortunately.
