Exceptional food in a remarkable setting - taking you back to the times of the Knights and Grandmasters. A restaurant one must visit when in Malta.

Myself and Paula wanted to experience a good quality Maltese restaurant as a treat and following a personal recommendation from a Maltese friend of ours we went to Guze. Having found the restaurant a little off the main streets of Valletta, it turned in to a bit of a rabbit warren with tables spread around its several rooms. A great... More

We didn't book but were early enough to get a table in the first sitting. We shared the antipasto starter of breads, local sheep's cheese, olives, charcoal rolled goats cheese from Gozo, fresh local rabbit terrine, and chicken liver pate, plus three types of Italian sliced cold meats. This was our downfall. By the time we had finished our main... More

The rabbit was great, the lamb too. Big portions as well and great choices of wine. Very good service. A pure pleasure!

Took my wife out for a date to try some real Maltese food while we work here. The menu does not offer too many choices, but I prefer to have fewer choices cooked to perfection than a large menu with pre-cooked and microwave heated food. Once we ordered, we were offered a complimentary starter mini-platter with fresh bread, lentil soup,... More

We ate here our first night in Malta, and although we were jet-lagged, the meal was truly wonderful! Service was attentive and informative. Our favorite dinner out of five nights of dinner in Valletta.

We ordered the clams and the lasagna to start and we're very disappointed. The sauce in the clams were so salty my husband had to drain them off before he could eat them. And he Loves salt! The pigs cheek lasagna was very dry and tasteless, it had obviously been reheated on more than one occasion. When the waiter took... More

We visited this restaurant several times in December 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We looked forward to returning last December, but were hugely disappointed. The previous year there were wonderful vegetarian options, but this year there weren't. I, unfortunately, chose the pasta which was so bland and tasteless that even heaps of parmesan didn't help. Moreover, it was tepid. When... More

We arrived early on a Friday and were lucky to get a table. The restaurant has very attentive staff and great food which pays homage to Maltese traditions. We can recommend the rabbit dishes as well as the updated version of traditional date desserts.

We didn't have a reservation, and it was Friday night, but somehow the restaurant fit us in, which was great. I had the pork cheek risotto and my wife had the fish soup. We were presented with delicious bread, a tomato pate, and a amuse bouche of lentil soup. This was a great free starter. The tomato pate was to... More
